A good parental feeding style reduces the risk of stunting among children under five years of age in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Stunting is a chronic problem of malnutrition caused by lack of food intake for a long time, causing growth problems in children where the height of the child is shorter than the standard age. Stunting is considered a public health problem when the prevalence of stunting is above 20%.1 The prevalence of stunting varies between countries. The study of stunting is related to developmental domains8, namely lower psycho-motor development experienced by children9,10, poor cognitive development in children11,1255%.
Currently, there are no data on the nutritional status of Cambodian school-age children, or how malnutrition potentially affects their cognitive development. Parental education, family wealth index, breastfeeding duration, child gender, low birth weight, lack of access to health services including suboptimal antenatal care, birth not in health care facilities (home delivery ), lack of sanitation and low maternal knowledge. in relation to child nutrition are predictors for stunting in children.3,15–18 Height is also related to parents' feeding practice, where parent-child feeding determines the child's eating behavior and weight gain.19. Several studies have been conducted on child feeding practices, but the focus of previous researchers was on child feeding practices in relation to children's nutritional status20–22, obesity23, pressure to eat stunted growth24, and parenting with .

Starting from the era of traditional medicine, the WHO definition (1948), the Ottawa Charter (1986) until today, the concept of health is a vocal point of debate, criticism and in need of redefinition.1–3 As a result , different health definitions emerged to fill the context and fill the gaps in the field of studies. Researchers argue that health and well-being are interconnected.6–8 A healthy person is assumed to have positive well-being and vice versa. Well-being has evolved since the time of Aristotle, recently diversified into different disciplines and become a popular topic in contemporary works of literature.6,7 The concept has expanded to become a multidisciplinary and multi-interpretive concept starting from psychology. , economics, anthropology. , social and religious.
As health and well-being are defined in many ways, it is interesting to explore how poor and marginalized groups conceptualize the concepts. A waste picker is an urban poor group that makes a living by collecting, sorting and selling recyclable waste.11,12 A waste picker is an urban poor group, a vulnerable and marginalized group with limited access to social benefits, including sweet water, housing, electricity and health services. They are also stigmatized as criminals by homelessness, unemployment, poverty and backwardness.13 The study hypothesizes that these conditions may affect how waste pickers perceive health and well-being.
