JENNIFER DROBAC is the director of the Law Program of Central and Eastern Europe at the Faculty of Law in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Chancellor Bepko is a member of the Indiana Commission on Higher Education and co-chairs its Strategic Directions Committee. Chancellor Bepko, along with IU President Michael McRobbie, was one of the speakers at the 10th anniversary celebration of Indiana University's Information Technology Strategic Plan, which was launched in 1998, on May 20.
The IUPUI Senior Academy awards the Bepko Medal for contributions to the university's community involvement. During Alumni Weekend in Bloomington, June 13-15, Chancellor Bepko served as host and presenter for Sallie Rowland, a recipient of the Indiana University Distinguished Alumna Award. On May 29, Professor Bravo discussed this topic again as a panelist at the 2008 US Joint Annual Meeting.

Professor Edwards has also been appointed co-chair of a newly formed Graduate Affairs Committee and appointed executive chair of the graduate program at the law school. Professor Roisman spoke at the symposium and wrote the introduction to the law review's symposium questions. At the ABA Midyear Meeting in February, Professor White chaired the meeting of the International Legal Education Committee.
At the end of May, he attended the founding meeting of the International Association of Law Schools in Montreal, Canada. WILKINS has been named co-chair of a newly formed graduate affairs committee and administrative faculty director of the graduate program at the law school. In addition, Professor Wilson was appointed co-director of the law school's Chinese Law Summer Program.

ESPADA, Associate Dean for Student Services and Admissions, has been selected by her alma mater, the University of Indianapolis, as a Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. Before coming to law school, she held the position of staff attorney for the Indiana Supreme Court, Division of State Court Administration, and staff attorney for the statutorily constituted Indiana Public Defender Commission. Her other professional experience includes practicing law as a deputy prosecuting attorney and teaching law-related courses at the undergraduate level at Indiana University-Bloomington and at the University of Indianapolis.
Dean Espada was also selected as an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow for the 2008-2009 academic year. ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, forty-three law graduates, along with current students, attended a networking event in Inlow Hall sponsored by the IU Law Alumni Association. Students had the opportunity to meet graduates who represented a wide range of legal, government and private career backgrounds of interest. While in Jordan, a group of 15 individuals from the Indianapolis community participated in a five-day Habitat for Humanity International project that involved building a traditional block house for the Abu Zour family in the village of Mobis, located north of Jordan's capital Amman. She was a member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the National Association of Legal Secretaries, Pi Beta Phi Fraternity and a 50-year member of the DAR. She was regional vice president of the American Association of University Women and president of the Indianapolis chapter.

During the week, they also found time to meet with several Iraqi refugee groups and hear their accounts of life in Jordan as a result of the ongoing war in Iraq. During their visit to Israel and Palestine, the group visited some of the popular religious sites and met with representatives from the International YMCA of Jerusalem, Rabbis for Human Rights and several other groups, including Palestinian refugees, to gain an understanding better and greater appreciation for the situations that those living in the region face every day. After spending a year at Barnard College on scholarship, she completed her education at Indiana University.
