Observations
You can help
The bandi and booths and food on thè mali chi»
week between Cavanaugh and E/T ah? due in part to thè efforta of thè IUPUI Student Aaaambly (SA) Planning and putting together a festival like this requiree months of effort from thè handful of people who make up thè SA.
Several members of thè SA are voted into ttaàr posi tions during yearly elections The othera are appointed by thè president of thè SA. Rather than being one more spectator, you can be a part of thè planning.
There are several asaembly sesta open and thè interest you have in getting involved with student government may be satisfied by an asaembly positkm
The SA needa more people now An art fair and a jazz festival are in thè talk stages along with thè usuai list of activities for thè year. New ideas may not go past thè talk stage unless more sena torà are added to thè asaembly.
Express your interest in becoming a senatori cali thè SA office at 264 3907 and ask about upcoming prò- jeets and programs. You may be just thè person tbey need. Talk to Stuart Keefer, president. or thè vice- president, George Graves, or any of thè senatore.

epidermis from toast crumbs, chin-dripped egg yolk and thè like. But wha’ happen'd, I wonder?
Now, don't get me wrong.
l ’m an experìenced sleeper. I’ve been unceremoniously
dumped/draped over tree stumpa with nary a proteat.
I ’ve bunked under ataircaaea with today’s news aa my sole ahield from streetlamp tight, only to find yeaterday'a news printed backwards upon my facial contours, decipherabte only by gazing at my reflection in a gas station restroom mirror. I Ve burrowed under piles of leaves in thè dead of winter and slept soundly. So I ’ve been aro un d.
One time, though, I woke up on thè floor, hardwood floor- I ’m thè kind of guy who
always wants to know what happened. “Wha’ happen'd?”
I'm always asking. Sometimes I never find out.
For example, how ia it that when I'm sleeping, I always wake to find my sheets toro and in disarray? Knean, I ’m sleeping, I’m relax ed and there ain't nobody else around.
l'il wake up in thè moring to find thè fitted sheets are no longer embracing my mattress (The^Lump), and ìbstead are wrapped around my slumbrous, reclining form. enshrouding my arms and lega and sometimes my head in a cloth cocoon.
Loose threads have wormed their way through my hair, in*
terlacod with my eyebrows and mustache and webbed through my toes.
Sometimes thè sheets are shredded and my head is stick*
ing through. Now, I ain't always compiaming, because thua attired I can anse to find a ready*made, full-length, total*

1 live alone and 1 believe this situation makes me a prime candidate for this nocturoal inexplicability. No witnesaes meana nò one will believe me. 1 can cry wolf from here to thè linen closet, but I get thè same story. “Oh aure/’ they say.
I need a witness. I ve trìed time and time again to coax young ladies (they’re thè beet) to spend thè night with me, my
only
intention being to obtain an objective witness, and I’ve never succeeded. Ifsomeone out there wants to help, send me your vi tal statistica, a snapshot, maritai status, teli me whether you snore or eat cracker», and drop thè note in thè mail along with a stamped and self addressed envelope.
