For some time past the writer has been engaged

species of Passiflora,with
particular reference toMexico and Central America, a region from which few
specieshave been described
sinceMaster's comprehensive
revision ofthe American
species in 1872.
Since the publication

its leaves,which

densely puberulent beneath. In the three other species the leaves are deeply cordateand
