Keberhasilan kinerja sebuah ruang event pada ruang terbuka publik bergantung pada kriteria idealnya. Salah satu kriteria keidealan yang mempengaruhi kinerja ruang event adalah faktor kenyamanan, aksesibilitas, dan keamanan. Faktor keamanan dan kenyamanan menjadi pertimbangan penting karena suksesnya sebuah event dilihat dari apakah pengunjung merasa aman dan nyaman dalam menikmati event tersebut. Pada penelitian sebelumnya membahas mengenai karakteristik, pola penggunaan, dan pola sebaran penggunaan ruang dalam event promosi dan distribusi industri kreatif berbasis budaya. Namun, pada penelitian kali ini akan membahas mengenai persepsi masyarakat terhadap kinerja ruang event pada sub sektor musik dan seni pertunjukan yang belum pernah dibahas pada penelitian terdahulu. Sehingga, tujuan dari studi ini adalah menilai apakah kinerja ruang event yang digunakan sebagai tempat pelaksanaan event sudah cukup baik atau tidak menurut persepsi masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan kuesioner online melalui google form dengan metode quota sampling menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis komparatif.
Hasil dari penilaian kinerja ruang event di Kota Bandung belum dapat dikatakan baik. Karena, masih terdapat aspek-aspek yang dapat ditingkatkan agar kinerja ruang event dapat berjalan dengan optimal. Adapun ruang event yang dinilai kurang baik oleh sebagaian masyarakat dari ketiga aspek adalah Jalan Asia Afrika. Dapat dilihat dari ketiga faktor yang diteliti belum ada faktor yang masuk kedalam kategori baik, bahkan terdapat aspek yang masuk kedalam kategori tidak baik yaitu aspek kenyamanan fisik, fasilitas pendukung, dan kelancaran akses menuju lokasi pertunjukan. Artinya ruang event di jalan ini perlu lebih diprioritaskan peningkatan kinerja ruang eventnya.

The successful performance of an event space in a public open space depends on its ideal criteria. One of the ideal criteria that affect the performance of the event space is the factor of comfort, accessibility, and security. The safety and comfort factor is an important consideration because of the success of an event judging by whether visitors feel safe and comfortable in enjoying the event. In previous research discussed the characteristics, usage patterns, and patterns of distribution of space use in promotional events and distribution of culturally based creative industries. However, this research will discuss about public perception of event space performance in the music and performing arts sub- sectors that have never been discussed in previous research. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to assess whether the quality of event space used as the venue for the event is good enough or not according to public perception. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method and data collected through observation and online questionnaire through google form with quota sampling method using descriptive statistical analysis method and comparative analysis.
The results of the performance assessment of event space in Bandung can not be said well. Because, there are still aspects that can be improved so that the performance of the event space can run optimally. The event space that is considered less good by the community from all three aspects is Jalan Asia Afrika.
Can be seen from the three factors studied there are no variables that fall into the good category, there are even aspects that fall into the category of not good, namely aspects of physical comfort, supporting facilities, and smooth access to the show location. This means that the event space on this street needs to be prioritized to improve the performance or quality of the event space.
