With graduation around the corner, many business students are looking forward to beginning a new chapter in their lives while looking back on all the hard work it took to get them to this point.
The memory of the multitude of core classes, prerequisites and elective courses required to receive a diploma seemed daunting four or more years ago as underclassmen. Imagine looking at that list and doubling it.
A few select students from the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis will graduate May 15 with two undergraduate degrees-rare among students today because of the heavy workload and stress associated with simultaneously completing two distinct degrees. more
Interns Continue to Take Kelley Brand Across the Globe
The Kelley School of Business Indianapolis continues to offer a global educational experience to its students as more undergraduates find internships at worldwide locations.
Students like Madie Schultz and Daniel Klingenberg gain invaluable experience through these international connections. Schultz will work and study this summer in Barcelona, Spain, while Klingenberg will travel to London.
"We are living in a world where the distances between nations is becoming less and less important," said Schultz, a senior accounting and finance major at Kelley Indianapolis.
"Business is becoming more globalized. Cultures, especially in the United States, are becoming more diverse." more
Kelley Student One of Two at IUPUI to Visit Chinese University
Senior Kendra Walker has visited 21 countries over the years, yet she still decided to delay her graduation at Kelley Indianapolis to study this summer in China.
As she saw it, the opportunity to study at a modern Chinese university and experience the culture of such an emerging business market was one she might not ever get to experience after graduation.
Walker, a finance and supply chain management student, was one of two IUPUI students selected to visit Sun Yat-sen University in China, a well-respected Chinese university becoming a strong partner of IUPUI and Kelley Indianapolis. more
