Pertanika Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities - Article for Revision (AA-2C) JSSH-8473-2021.R1
- The abstract is not quite clear… I mean, does the text explore the constructions of resistance or the meanings of resistance? It also should be mentioned the contribution only in the macro level, perhaps?! How can this study case clarify
- I think that the literature review is totally mess; Sometimes you refer to phenomenology and sometimes to resistance
- Please explain how this study in Ambon can be regarded as resistance from an Indonesian context? Should the date be compared with other cities in Indonesia? Clarify this in article so that the reader is able to understand its impact for the
- Result and Discussion: make it more visible and more critical with views from the author are expected to bring froward critical discussion
- Make sure the conclusion is aligned and reflected to the main objective. As it is at the moment, it has no strong relations with the main aim of the article
- It is normal that the paper written by non-native English speaker will have some problems in term of language structure
Religious Construction of Illness: An Exploratory Assessment of Religious Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Uganda. I lost you in the theoretical deluge: too much theoretical background in the first pages and I really wonder "do you really need all this?" Please select the relevant researchers and engage carefully with their findings. In qualitative studies, all have in common some reflexive description of the researcher's positionality in the field.
I recommend adding reflexive writing that discovers who the author is... for example what his/her religious background... Findings - You must ground your theory thoroughly in the field and justify the classification according to these categories. The topic is relevant even in the current context of the global phenomenon where covid19 is affected all over the world.
There are some of the biggest Muslim organizations in Indonesia that I think need to be highlighted for their efforts in dealing with resistance in the community. Organizations such as NU, Muhammadiyyah and others also face resistance in the community.

Another example is the automatic use in "Covid-19" after various verbs, it does not make sense in every sentence. In order for this article to be considered for publication, I would like to suggest a few things: Organizations such as NU, Muhammadiyyah and others, in addition to the Ambon organization, should be considered to present their thoughts and 'fatwas' on this matter.
Please explain how this study in Ambon can be considered resistance from an Indonesian context. Clarify this in the article so that the reader will be able to understand its impact to compare with other cities in Indonesia. Clarify this in the article so that the reader will be able to understand its impact for all of Indonesia.
As it stands, it doesn't have a strong connection to the main goal of the article. relations with the main goal of the article. It is normal for a paper written by an unfamiliar English speaker to have some problems in terms of language structure. Please complete the revision as pointed out by the reviewers and submit the revised manuscript for professional English proofreading.
