i ABSTRACT

The Use of Audio Visual Media to Improve Learning Outcomes with Class 1 Students in SDN Daramista I Academic Year 2020/2021

Keywords: Use of Audio Visual Media, Student Learning Outcomes

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes through Audio Visual Media and to find out how to use Audio Visual Media in improving student learning outcomes.

This type of research is a Classroom Action Research with 4 stages;

Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. This study consisted of 2 cycles where each cycle consisted of two face-to-face studies. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, tests, and documentation. The assessment instruments used in the study were the observation sheet and the assessment instrument (10 objective tests that were arranged according to the sub-theme of the community that cares about the environment).

The results showed that the value of teacher activity observation increased from cycle I by 66% and increased in cycle II to 80%. In the learning process, teachers and students are able to use Audio Visual media properly. In addition, the student observations obtained the value of the observation results, namely in the first cycle it got 57% and increased in the second cycle to 85%.
