ABSTRACT
The study aimed to examine the influence of POS on intention to stay with the organization and to investigate job satisfaction and job motivation as mediators of the relationship between POS on intention to stay of business development executives in a private firm in Bangkok, Thailand.
In this quantitative study- a sample of 98 people was selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using online questionnaires. The SPSS Program with PROCESS macro (Model 4) was adopted to test the hypotheses regarding the mediation effects. The findings of this study suggested that job satisfaction is a partial mediator between POS and intention to stay among Thai employees (β = .46, 95%CI = .18, .76). However, the mediator effects suggested that job motivation was found to positively related to POS (β = .27, 95%CI = .11, .43), but it is not a mediator between POS and intention to stay (β
= .02, 95%CI = -.07, .09). This study provides useful information for a firm management to foster reducing the trend of resignation, and suggests some techniques to improve job satisfaction to enhance employee intention to stay as well as helps make the operation of the organization more efficient and effective.
