FFA GOVERNING COM1\IUTTEE

September 19, 1975

The meeting of the FFA Governing Committee was conducted by telephone by H. N. Hunsicker, Chairman. Persons participating included H. E. Edwards, Byron

F.

Rawls and

Wm.

Paul Gray.

Charles R. Jones, an American Farmer Candidate from Tennessee, was dis- qualified for the Degree because of no membership record in either the state or national office. The State Supervisor himself informed the national office he had no record of active membership of this individual. However, when the candidate was notified the area supervisor produced the chapter roster of a member by the name of "Charles Darrell Richard Jones" and in- formed this office that this was the candidate's full name. The state and national membership rosters verify he paid dues and is an active rnernber in good standing. A letter from the State Supervisor, fully explaining the situation, together with a copy of the chapter membership roster and receipt is on file.

It was r.1oved by Mr. Edwards, seconded by Mr. Rawls and carried that Charles R. Jones be dee lared eligible to receive the American Farmer Degree at the 1975 National FFA Convention.
