Fifty sixth year, first regular business meeting. The meeting was called to order by the president and the minutes were read and approved.
Illness report: Ziemon Häck, four weeks.
New business:
It was discussed and decided that when a member’s spouse dies the society officers will participate in the viewing and one automobile will be hired for the procession. Those who fail to go will be fined five dollars. Lous Lösche was elected as a trustee to replace Wilhelm
Westerfelt. A new candidate to join the society was presented: Wilhelm Büscher, 29 years old.
Cchrist Schlensker, Herig Lütkamp and Dirich Rosenbrock were appointed on his character examination committee. It was decided to organize the picnic on July 20 as we have done previously. The following committees were formed to prepare and work at the picnic: Cchrist
Schlensker, Dierich Rosenbrock and Ernst Schulz will reserve the park. Fred Hölke, Wilhelm Bumeier and Otto Off will work at the first bar. Heri Stickan, Walter Stumf and Wm
Maschmeier, Jr. will man the second bar. August Rieman, Jors Off and Billiy Meier, Jr. will work at the bowling alley. The park committee will hire musicians as well. The treasurer was
instructed to purchase one thousand cigars.
At this point the meeting was adjourned.
