This course is one of the Learning Process Skills Courses given in 6th semester (even semester)

Teaching methods used in this course are:
-Lecture (i.e., self-directed learning, small group discussion, collaborative learning,cooperative learning, cooperative learning, simulation/demonstration, project-based learning, cased-based learning).
-Structured assignments (i.e., essays, project-based learning, cased-based learning)
The class size for lecture is 30 students.
Contact hours for lecture is 27 hours, assignments (structured tasks) is 32 hours and study individually 32 hours.
Workload For this course, students are required to meet a minimum of 87 hours in one semester, which consist of:
-23 hours for lecture
-32 hours for structured assignments -32 hours for learn individually
Credit points 2 credit points (equivalent with 3 ECTS) Requirements
according to the examination regulations
Students must have attended all classes and submitted all class assignments that are scheduled before the final tests.
Recommended prerequisites
The Instructional Competency course is a continuation of the Teaching Evaluation course, so that students have completed the Teaching Evaluation course and obtained a minimum grade of C
which is a prerequisite to be able to take the Instructional Competency course

Course Learning Objectives :
1. Analyzing teacher competencies (40) 2. Applying basic teaching skills (60) Content Students will learn about:
To train students to have basic skills that can be used in teaching activities at Vocational High Schools. This course provides students with experience as novice teacher candidates to apply several learning skills in the classroom. Initial skills training is carried out in the micro teaching class with eight basic teaching skills, including; 1) the skills of opening and closing lessons; 2) explaining skills; 3) basic and advanced questioning skills; 4) skills to provide reinforcement; 5) the skill of holding variations; 6) classroom management skills; 7) skills to guide small group discussions; and 8) small group and individual teaching skills.
Forms of Assessment
Assessment is carried out based on written examinations, assessment/evaluation of the learning process and performance with the following components: Structured tasks: 50% Mid Test: 20%
Final Test: 30%

Study and examination requirements:
- Students must attend 15 minutes before the class starts.
- Students must switch off all electronic devices.
- Students must inform the lecturer if they will not attend the class due to sickness, etc.
- Students must submit all class assignments before the deadline.
- Students must attend the exam to get final grade.
