In adapting novel into film, the process of action and situation is converted from texts into audio visual so that both readers and common people (who practically do not like reading) are able to enjoy the modern form of literary work without any effort to imagine the situation just like reading novel. Hence, this adaptation process from novel into film is known as ecranisation. Further, related to the study of ecranisastion, this research aims to examine the narrative structure comparison between novel and film version of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

In doing the analysis, the writer applied descriptive qualitative method and proposed Eneste’s theory in analyzing the process of ecranisation that are divided into three main points, they are; reduction, addition and modification. As the result of this research, the writer found out that in the ecranisation process of plot, the writer found that there are 9 scenes of reduction, 10 scenes of addition and 11 scenes of modification. In other word, the process of modification is the most appeared during the process of ecranisation which means that the producer or the filmmaker wants to make the plot of the story more interesting and different so that those who read the novel did not feel bored after watching the film version.
