NEW PARASITIC HYMENOPTERA OF THE GENUS EIPHOSOI^U.

genus Eiphosoma consists of Ophionine Ichneumonidse in whichthe stigmaiselongate,theabdomen
longand
slender,andthe hindfemoratoothed. Itisa characteristicmember
oftheNeotrop-icalfauna,but Brues hasrecorded E. septentrionalefromas farnorth asPennsylvania.

wifeinGuate- malaisfound on examinationtobe new, andwhen
comparingitwith the material in the United States NationalMuseum
I have found three otherspecies tobedescribed. Brues^hasgiven atable ofthe speciesoccurringinNorth andCentralAmerica; with thenew
species added, thistablemay
be modified as follows. I omit E. -pyralidisAshmead,
which is the type of a distinct genus BracMxiphosoma Viereck. This B.pyralidisisa characteristicmember
oftheNearctic fauna,havingbeendescribedfromMissouri,andbeing representedin the NationalMuseum
from Agricultural College, Michigan (A. J.Cook),Nyack,
New York
(Zabriskie), andIthaca,New
