Werner on health aspects related to the green iguana.

April 15 - Leaving, HENK WOLDA, to visit the University of California at Davis, and to D. C., to attend the Tropical Biology Conference and official business at the S1.
He will return May 7.
April 15 - Leaving, CARMEN SUCRE, to D. C. for on-the-job training at the SI on budget procedures and policies. She will return April 28.
April 15 - Leaving, MERCEDES ARROYO, for D. C. for consultations regarding procurement policies. She will return April 28.
April 15 - Arriving for a one week visit, MANUEL MORA, Universidad Nacional de Heredia, to plan aspects of his research project on the ecology and management of Ctenosaura similis.
April 18 - Leaving JEREMY JACKSON and NANCY KNOWLTON, on official business to N • Y. and to D. C. to attend the Tropical Biology Conference.

UPDATE: TUPPER LAB BUILDING
Plans are proceeding on the design of the new Earl S. Tupper Research and Conference Center. Copies of the plan are being distributed to the STRI staff, and additional copies are available in the Director's Office. A meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16 in the Ancon Conference Room to discuss the plans and consider suggestions for changes. The architect will be present to answer questions.

During the past week TODD HANDLEY had an accident on BCI and the MEDEVAC helicopter performed an excellent job evacuating him from the Island. JUAN CAMPOS also had an accident at Galeta. We wish them both a prompt recovery.
