the game. "

" W e're trying too hard," Lovell continued. " A nd if we don't play more relaxed, the pressure seems to compound itself."

" I t's like the worse it (the pressure) gets, the harder we try. And the harder we try, the worse it gets "

D on't look for Coach Lovell's trig

ger finger to reach for a panic button.

Last year's team slipped out to an 8-14 Kart before ripping off 12 Kraight wins to cop the District 21 championship And this season only 16 points mark the difference from being CM and 4-0.

Today IUPUI motors to GrecncaKle, Ind. to meet DePauw University. From there the Metros head north to meet the Mastadons of IUPU Fort Wayne on Thursday.

After winning the Manchester Basketball Tournament three weeks ago with a double overtime victory and a tripleovertime win. DePauw nearly knocked off Butler in the Bulldogs' season opener Nov. 26. In an interview in the Indianapolis News. Butler Coach Joe Sexton said of the Tigers, "They outhus!led us and outm usded us."

No lest than ten lettermen returned to the Tiger den this season who have not lost at home m 36 straight games.

They are led by guard Phil Wendel.

who it DePauw's all-time leader in scoring pastes.

It's a rebuilding year for Coach Tim Russell's lUPU-Fort Wayne unit. The Mattadons lost a lot of scoring punch and rebounding via graduation and ^ pear to be lacking in experience with several new faces on their rotter.
