The members recommended that the "Revision of the G0nstitution"
be given as a special report to the delegates in session.
The Board members also recommended that the delegate expenses be on the same basis as usual; that is," the national organization pay for round trip first class ticket for one delegate from each State (the transportation points will be considered from the State Capital to Kansas City and return)
Motion made, seconded and carried that the matter of special buttons for band Qembers be dropped.
The members also decided that the national organization is not yet ready to put out a national pbulication and that this matter requirES more deliberation.
The Board of Trustees was given the power to investigate the possibilities in the near future toward the national organization securing a national 11 .I·'.A. C2Jnp. It was suggested that the Board act if opportunity for securing such a site appears favorable.
National F.F.A. Officers should continue to travel as much as possible and budget be set aside for this item of expense; it was also suggested that recanmendations be made to State Associations for them to set up a budget for State Officers to travel within the State •
The Board of Trustees voted to make no recommendation to the delegates on the tln~ift book.
The members voted to recommend that surveys and aid in-prevention of livestock losses be made.
Moved, seconded and carried that the National Farmer degree be submitted as it is to the AdVisory Council ~ithout recommendation (See Section F - page 7 of the attached)
The Board of Trustees desired to go on record as upholding
the rules for qualification for the American Farmer degree. The Board is definitely opposed to the award of the American ~armer Degree to the candidates from Oklahoma (Due to the lateness of date when it was sent from the State Adviser's office) Unanimous agre.ement was made
for this opposition. ·
Mr.
w.
A. Ross, National Executive Secretary, was reconnnended to be designated to prepare and publish a Radio Guide for F.F.A. Programs ••Because of the similiarity in names of the Young Indian Farmers of America and the Future Farmers of America, and since they are not ~ sponsored by the same division in the Dep~rtment of Interior, it was thought advisable that we should try to confer with them with the view ....) toward getting them to change their name.
