Public hospitals have trained doctors and paramedics who are able to offer solutions to the ailments that patients suffer from. There must be a synergistic collaboration between the field workers and the manager in delivering on promises and giving evidence to patients. Also 23% of society disagreed that hospital policies were not really patient friendly.
It was also found that the synergistic cooperation between health professionals and the manager in delivering on promises and showing evidence to patients is still low. However, the health officials and skilled hospital nurses were satisfied in dealing with the ailments suffered by the patients. The population of the study was 100 samples consisting of patients or patients' families at Arifin Ahmad Regional Public Hospital in Pekanbaru.
The lowest score in this dimension is in the question "There is an effort to involve the patients' families during their healing process." It showed that the regional public hospital in Riau province has not been adequate and reliable in providing services to the patients. This has been part of the official doctors' efforts to involve the patients and their families during the recovery and to remind the families to give regular medication to the patients. The effort to involve the patients' families during the patients' healing process was in the satisfactory category; which means that the hospital has made an effort to involve the patients' families during their healing process.
In other words, the patients' families had a major role and contribution to the patients' recovery. From the service point of view, it indicated that the hospital is constantly required to provide excellent service and tried to give a guarantee regarding the patients' rights regarding the services provided. This indicated that the Regional Public Hospital in Riau Province was not adequate and reliable in providing equal service to the patients.
The point of the statement that the hospital is able to give accurate information to patients was rated quite well; which means that the accuracy of the information given to patients is quite good. Based on the results of the study, it was proven that services are provided to patients and patients' participation in services has a significant impact on their satisfaction. The mediating effect of patient satisfaction in patient perception of health care quality—the relationship between patient trust.
