Summary of Assessment Report of the RSPO Certification

Farmer Group has a policy regarding membership requirements in the recruitment process with the number Karya Bersama-SOP-ORG-004 dated 20 December 2019. Farmer Group shows proof of ratification of requirements for farmer members, for example, a recording of a farmer's statement on behalf of Dasimin , which he signed on 18.6.2020.

The Farmers Group has kept all the complete records for each member available at the Farmers Group office. The document contains information about the legality of the land ownership, the area of ​​the land, the year of planting, the signed statement of the smallholder (commitment to sustainability), the status of ownership up to the assessment of the location and the completeness of the registration files. For example, farmers with the initials KT signed the commitments and conditions of the members of the Farmers' Group on January 2, 2022. The training carried out was related to the best aspects of oil palm cultivation, waste management, EHS aspects, employment, with the prohibition of the employment of children under 18. Smallholders have the capacity to effectively manage their farm

ENSURE LEGALITY, RESPECT FOR LAND RIGHTS AND COMMUNITY WELLBEING 2.1

Working conditions and facilities are safe and meet minimum legal requirements

Based on results of interviews with KTKB members, it is known that members are aware of the need for a safe workplace. Based on the results of interviews with a sample of farmer members, information was obtained that all respondents were able to demonstrate all their knowledge related to the results of the training and applied in their respective fields. Pesticides are used in ways that do not endanger health of workers, family, communities or the environment

The results of interviews with farmers, it was concluded that farmers are aware of pesticides categorized by the World Health Organization (WHO) in class 1A or 1B and included in the list of the Stockholm Convention or the Rotterdam Convention, such as paraquat, and is well aware of the negative effects of using paraquat, so they are committed to no longer using paraquat in the management of its oil palm plantations. The farmer group also shows a summary of the farmer group's chemical use, where the use of chemicals is used with the active substance glyphosate.
