Starting engine procedure on aircraft

Practicum Purpose :

To know the safe steps in starting an airplane engine

Theoretical Basis :

understanding the principles, fundamentals, and technical procedures of starting engine. This includes understanding the step by step, how it work, safety, and other basic concepts that set the stage for basic engine operation

Materials : Tools :

Work Procedures :

1. Turn on battery switch

2. Check light, push a check light button under eng ext armed button, make sure all of the light is on 3. Check engine fire detection system, The rotary-type system test switch on the pilot's instrument panel is

used to test the fire detection system . Rotating the switch to FIRE DET and depressing the switch PRESS TEST button it will cause both ENG FIRE PULL T handle warning lights, Master Caution, Master warning, squipped bottle to illuminate and flash.

4. Turn on Beacon light, Nav light, Taxi light Switch 5. Check battery voltage and ampere in battery indicator
