Tesis ini berjudul Persamaan Pragmatis dalam Hal Implikasinya dalam Terjemahan Bahasa Inggris dari Lelucon Nabi Muhammad SAW. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana kemiripan pragmatis dari segi implikatur yang muncul dalam lelucon Nabi Muhammad SAW dan terjemahan bahasa Inggrisnya serta menjelaskan bagaimana implikatur yang muncul dalam lelucon Nabi Muhammad SAW dan terjemahan bahasa Inggrisnya terbentuk. penelitian ini adalah prosedur penerjemahan Newmark dan Prinsip Koperasi Grice.
Berdasarkan proses pembentukan implikatur terdapat 4 kasus pelanggaran maksim kuantitas, 3 kasus pelanggaran maksim cara, 2 kasus pelanggaran maksim proporsi dan tidak ada kasus pelanggaran maksim kualitas. , karena Nabi Muhammad tidak pernah berbohong sambil bercanda. Judul skripsi ini adalah The Pragmatic Equivalence of the Implicature in the English Translation of the Nabi Muhammad's Jokes. Penulis memilih lelucon Nabi Muhammad dan terjemahan bahasa Inggrisnya sebagai objek penelitian karena beberapa alasan.

He was a Messenger of Allah who had a mandate to spread Islam across the world, but many do not know that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had an extraordinary sense of humor. Prophet Muhammad's jokes have been translated into English so that many people will understand the jokes more easily. When the Arabic original hadith is compared with the English translation of the jokes, many differences in structures and viewpoints can be found.
Because of those differences, it is interesting to know how the pragmatic equivalence of the implicature. Therefore, the author is interested in analyzing the pragmatic equivalence of the implicature in the English translation of the Prophet Muhammad's.

The facility is suitable for the integration and connection of the Islamic State University with Islam, taken from the hadiths about the jokes of the Prophet Muhammad. So, the writer is challenged to conduct a research in his graduation thesis entitled “THE PRAGMATIC EQUIVALENCE OF THE IMPLICATE IN THE ENGLISH.
Theoretical Approach
The first is the maxim of quality, which involves trying to be truthful and not providing information that is false or not supported by evidence. The second is the rule of quantity, where one tries to be as informative as possible and provide as much information as necessary, and no more. The third is the relationship maxim, where one tries to be relevant and says things that are relevant to the discussion.
The fourth is the maxim of manner, where one tries to be as clear, concise, and orderly as possible in what he says, and where vagueness and ambiguity are avoided.

The data in this research are lists of Prophet Muhammad's jokes and the English translation. In this chapter the author will discuss analysis of the data collected by the author. The analysis will be focused on the analysis of the pragmatic equivalence of the implicature between the jokes of the Prophet Muhammad and the English translation.
In this chapter, the author presents the conclusion and suggestions based on the analysis of the pragmatic equivalence of the implicature between the jokes of the Prophet Muhammad and the English translation. There are 6 cases of using addition procedures: (1) adding the phrase subhanahu wa ta'ala after the word Allah, (2) adding an adverb to make the readers understand the context, (3) adding an adjective to make something more specific, (4) add a vocative, (5) provide additional information in parentheses, and (6) add a verb to describe the speaker. The reduction procedure is used when parts of SL are omitted or reduced in TL.
There are five cases of using reduction procedure: (1) omission of the subject because it has been mentioned before, (2) omission of a. There are 5 cases of using modulation: (1) making the context simpler and easier to understand, (2) changing from a quoted speech to a reported speech, (3) changing the perspective from general to specific, (4) changing from an active voice to a passive voice and (5) change from a tag question to a declarative sentence. The result of the data analysis shows that 7 direct statements followed the principle of cooperation and 6 direct statements broke the principle of cooperation.
The speaker violated the maxim of quantity for various reasons: (1) to make the listeners understand the Holy Qur'an, (2) to inform the listeners that entering Paradise depends on our efforts, (3) to urge people to respect each other and (4) to joke with others. The reasons why the speaker violated the principle of manners are that (1) he just wanted to joke with others and (2) he wanted the listeners to understand the Holy Qur'an. The attitude maxim is broken when the speaker's contribution is irrelevant to what it is.
The context of the hadith shows that the Prophet was joking because he did not say directly what he wanted to say, but said it implicitly. Based on the results of the study, the writer would like to make some suggestions. The Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa sellem) said: "Zahir is our man of the desert, and we are the inhabitants of his cities."

There are 6 procedures used by the translator to translate the hadiths, they are literal, transfer, shift, modulation, reduction and addition procedures. The translator used this procedure 8 times, but there is only one instance of using transfer; that is when the translator translated the phrase م َ لّ َ س َ و ِ ه ْ ي َ لّ َ ع ُ للها ى َ لّ َ ص to sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam. Modulation is used when there is a change of point of view, perspective and very often category of thought.
There are two use cases for the moves procedure: (1) changing the layout of DOs and (2) changing the order of DOs and IOs. Although there are some differences between SL and TL, but as long as the message in SL can be delivered in TL, they are still pragmatically equivalent and produce the same implicatures. The implicature in Prophet Muhammad's jokes not only gives the effect of the joke but also gives the message.
The message is addressed not only to the listeners, but also to all people in the world.
