(1)CHAPTER V CONCLUSION After analyzing The Hate U Give movie script using the intrinsic approach, which includes characterization, plot, and setting, the extrinsic approach was used to elaborate with analysis utilizing the theory of Racism and Injustice. It may be inferred that the script for George Tillman Jr.'s The Hate U Give can be studied through literary sociological approach. The outcome of the intrinsic approach described with the extrinsic approach to demonstrate that the topic of this research is analysis of racial injustice against minorities in movie script entitled “The Hate U Give” (2018) by George Tillman Jr.. Plot and Setting used to analyze the script by George Tillman Jr. movie script entitled The Hate U Give. The exposition begins when Starr is still a small child, sitting in the dining room with her family as her father explains how to survive in this area. Complication begins when Starr has been seen as a teenager, attending a school with a majority of white students, and while erasing her old traditional lingo from her area. The crisis comes when Starr and her closest friend, Khalil, were driving around when they were stopped by a white cop, who mistakenly shot Khalil because he was brandishing a pistol. Falling action in this movie script begins when Starr must push herself so that she can tell the public and the media what truly transpired at the crime scene. Not only did she face threats and prejudice from whites, but she also had to avoid any media coverage that made her feel insecure about herself. The resolution in this movie script is when Starr speaks out in front of a large crowd of demonstrators about what most black cultures have received from whites and promises that they would fight for their independence.. All the concepts are elaborated with an intrinsic approach, specifically characterizations, plot, and setting methods. The theme that shown using an intrinsic and extrinsic approach is the analysis of racial injustice against minorities in movie script entitled “The Hate U Give” (2018) by George Tillman Jr. It is demonstrated that by elaborating the extrinsic approach, which is the theory of racism and theory of injustice with an intrinsic approach that is characterization, plot and setting methods. The moral of the research teaches us that racial discrimination against other people would always happened in or out of our neighborhood or even the country itself. They need to understand that even though times have changed, racism would still be around, not on strangers but our closest one can still discriminate others for their own happiness. In addition, if we want to help others or fight for ourselves, we have to speak louder to the public and media so they can hear and helped us fight for discrimination and justice itself. According to this research, there is need for more investigation into The Hate U Give movie script through other concepts, methods and approaches. This research contributes by informing other analysts/researchers about Racism Leads to Injustice in this movie script and taught them the significance of speaking out against discrimination that occurs around them and fighting if injustice occurs in front of them.
