Roblox is an online game platform and game creation system developed by Roblox Corporation that allows users to program games and play games created by other users. Relational skills are promoted on Roblox in collaborations on building or creating games, exploring, or just enjoying the gameplay together. The platform is also excellent in teaching users what is appropriate, and in chat mode, curse words, slurs, and insults are prohibited – even the mildest of teasing and mockery is flagged and blanked out. This means that healthy interactions are encouraged, and youngsters are taught to engage with others respectfully. It’s easy to play with friends or family on this platform, and inviting them to join you in a specific game is not a complicated affair. The result is that you can enjoy the same game as your best friend or family member. With a wide variety of games available in the Roblox universe, some require lateral and critical thinking, problem-solving, and life skills. The games are also
replayable, meaning you can judge the outcome of your choices as you play to see what returns more favorable results. Roblox proves there are many advantages to consider, including a safe environment to expand creative thinking, learn computer skills, people skills, STEAM skills, and critical thinking.
Roblox also encourages appropriate and respectful interactions and is a fantastic springboard for computer-based careers.
Despite all of its good side, Roblox is not a perfect game. Theres a lot of inappropriate content available in the site. Roblox has a vast community of game creators who can publish their games on the platform. Unfortunately, not all of them are appropriate for anyone above 13+ years old. Some games contain inappropriate content, such as violence, sex, and drugs. Even though Roblox has strict guidelines for game developers, some games can slip through the cracks. This leads to inappropiate action being done in the game which will harm many minors There’s also in-app purchases in roblox.
Even thought the games is advertised as a free to play, but many of them offer in-app purchases. This causes a lot of problem as childrens that played Roblox may see this in game purchases which can be tempting for them, who may not understand the value of money. They would use their parents credit card information and use them to purchase said items without any of their parents permission. Roblox can be highly addictive for everyone who may spend hours playing games on the platform. Addiction to video games can lead to negative effects on ones physical and mental health, as well as their performance. And, the most annoying thing in Roblox for almost all the player is that the game on the platform sometimes need a strong connection. And if the connection getting worse, the game went worser. This cause the player to be disconnected from the current game. Which is annoying because they cant be able to rejoined on the same place they left ( If they played Roblox story game ).
There are a couple of suggestion to be given to make the game better. First is to hire more moderators for the game to avoid any explicit content being posted in the site. Then they need to improve the guidelines even further by adding more dire consequences to those who violates the rule such as a perma ban for those who post inappropiate content. They can also use an advanced AI technology that
specializes in recognizing explicit content and which will be able to ban them. Roblox also need to improve their Robux payment system by adding an extra layer of security so that children won’t be able to enter their parents credit card information so easily. Roblox also need to stop shoving overpriced items ads in their players face to avoid minors to be tempted to buy said items.
Overall Roblox is one of the most revolutionary game in this century with the wide variety of unique and interesting games on the site also the abilty for anyone to make their own game. But despite that, Roblox need to focus on the more inappropiate content in their games as many childrens are on the site. They also need to stop taking advantages of said children by making them buy overpriced Robux item.
