Rochester defeats AU 8-0 9/25/07
ROCHESTER, NY- The Alfred University women's soccer team lost to host Rochester, 8-0, on Monday evening.
Rochester had seven players score goals with Ali Streeter pacing the Yellowjackets with two. Alfred (0-8-1, 0-3 E8) was out shot by the Yellowjackets 40-2 (23-1 shots on goal) and lost the battle of corner kicks 15-0.Freshman
goalkeeper Meredith Ragan (Dallas, TX/Science and Engineering Magnet) faced 23 shots, saving 16 in 90 minutes of play. Rochester split time among three goalkeepers. Molly Leitch played the 45 minutes while Kate Levy played the first 37:08 of the second half making one save before Celeste Hornbach was called in to close. The Lady Saxons are in action next on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. vs. Hilbert.
