Where we can find Rocks?
• We can find rocks by digging up rocks.
• We dig up rocks in quarry, deep mine, and river bed.
• We use tools, diggers, trucks and
train to dig and move the heavy
rocks.
Quarry
• A quarry is a place where we dig The Earth’s surface.
• Sometimes we use
explosive to break the rock into pieces.
• Rocks we get from a quarry : limestone, marble, slate, and sandstone.
Deep mine
• A deep mine is a place where we dig up rock underground.
• People use spades and other tools.
• Rocks we get : coal, marble, salt.
River bed
• A river bed is a place where we dig stones.
• People use spades and big diggers.
• Rocks we get : sand, gravel, and pebbles.
