SATURDAY, Octobor 9th, 1886.

At Rou?h Creek Meeting-house, Marshall county, Kv., a

The Association was then convened ; and after prayer by Elder ,Josiah Harris :

1. Appointed Irskine Rose anrl J. V. Kirkland a com- mittee on Finallce.

2. Read the letters trom the churches and enrolled their statistics as shown in table on last page.

3. Chose Elder T. W. Hutchens ModeratOr and El:!er T. F. Harrison Clerk, who called on Elder J. M. Perkins for

Assi~taut Clerk ; being thus organized proceeded as follows : 1. Called for petitionary letters.

2. Called for c0rresponding letter& from 8ister Associa- tions.

Received a letter and file of minutes from "Original Litt1e River Association" by her messengers : Elder E. Watkins an, "

Brethren M. Rose and H. A. Howard. And Elders J L. B.

Darnall and David Davis and Brethren Irskine Rose (L. P.) anri \V. U. Atwood agree to bear the correspondence to "Origi- nal Little River Association," whicl:J. is to meet at Muddv Fork, Trigg county, Ky., on Friday before >the fourth Sunday in August, 1887.

A letter and file of minutes of "Obion Association" bv her messP-ngers: Elders J. P. Jenkins and F. P. Chandle; and Brother W. F. Vaughn. And Elder W. D. Poyner aud Brethren W. G. Hurt and S. H. Smithson agree to bear the corresponilence to "Obion Association," which is to meet at Walnut Fork, 12 miles Northwest from Paris, Henry county, Tennessee, on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in Septem- ber, 1887.

A letter and file of minutes from "Bethel Association" hv her messengers : Elder R. H. Boaz and Brother T. J. Boaz.

And Elders J. V. Kirkland and W. D. Poyner and Brethren

tioo" by her messengers : Elder Richard "Fulkerson and Brethren T. J. Uf.lchurcb, G. A. Mitchel and J. M. Berrv. a.nd Elders J. M. Perkins and J. V. Kirkland and Brother vV. H.

Bridges agree to bear the cnrrespondence to ''Muddy River Association," which is to meet at Rector, Hamilton counrv, Illinois, R miles West from Broughton, on Friday before the first Sunday in September, 1887.

A letter and file of minutes from "'Vest Tennessee As8o- ciation" by her messenger : Elder E. T. Riding~; and Elders ,V. D. Poyner, J. L. B. Darnall and David Davis and Brethren Obarles Au~tin and W. G. Hurt agree to bear the corre8pondence to "\Vest Tennessee A~sociation ," which is to meet at Burns' StatiOJ'l, Dixon county, Tennessee, on Saturday before the third Sunday in September, 1887.

The above messengers, together with visiting Brethren in l.he ministrv were invited to seats with us.

3. Called for petitionary letters of correspondence.

4. Read tbe Con$titution, Abstract of Principles and Rulas of Decorum.

Agreed bv ballot that Elllers Lemuel Potter, Richard FulkerBon, J.P. Jenkins nd Josiah Harris alternate, preach -on to-morrow and that worship commence at 10 o'clock.

SUNDAY MOHNING, 10 O'CLOCK.

The ministers appoin1ed to p1each te·da1, addressed a larj!e a_nd attentive audience in the following order, after prai•e and prayer by Elder E. Watkins: Elder J. P. Jenkins. Text:

Reb. III. 4, "For every house is builded by some man ; but be that builded all things is God."

Elder Lemuel Potter-Text: Titus IJI. 7, ''That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

Elder Richard Fulkerson crmcluded the ~ervice without any particular text.

We hope that a divine blessing may follow and bless their faithful labors to the good of Zion.

MONDAY MORNING, 9 o'CLOCK.

The Association met, and after prayer by Elder Richard Fulkerson, proceeded as follows :

2. Called on the Committee of Arrangements, who re·

ported and were discharged.

with Elder J. V. Kirkland; to "Muddy River Association" with Elder J. M. Perkins; to "West Tennessee Association" with Elder David Davis.

8. Agreed to have 650 copies of these minutes printed and distributed among the churches, reserving 200 copies for

corr~sponding purposes, and that tbe Clerk have $10 for his serviCes.

9. Agreed to bear the expenses of the messenger who bear,; the corresponding letter to each Association in eur corres- 'pondence.

10. Agreed that the thanks of this Association be given to the people of tbis vicinity for their hospitality to us ouring our session at Rough Creek.

11. After prayer by Elder W. W. Worrell, adjourned to time and place above named.
