Education is an important issue in one’s life. It is the key to success in the future and to have many opportunities in our life. There are mainly three ways to acquiring education. They are formal, informal and non-formal education. In which school is one of the place where acquiring formal education. The main aim of school is seeks to nourish the good qualities in students and draw out the best in every individual. Education seeks to develop the innate inner capacities of students. School should be able to develop good qualities students through the different ways of teaching method. Education, is the process of training man to fulfill his aim by exercising all the faculties to the fullest extent as a member of society. Teacher should be providing student- Centre teaching learning environment in classroom. Every people have inner talent. So, teacher or schools should be give opportunity to explore their inner talent. The extra- curricular activities are one of the best ways for the improvement of the student ability. Extracurricular activities are the sources that have been an integral part of the education system; students participate in these
kinds of activities and they do not fall into the sphere of normal curriculum and instructional methods. Students at all levels participate in these activities, of all the age groups and Standards.
The areas that come under extra-curricular activities include sports, games, art, music, drama, poetry and so on. Participation in all these activities or just one of them of student’s own interest has been connected to social and academic success. On the other hand, extracurricular activities facilitate in the development of various domain of mind and personality such as intellectual, emotional, social, moral and aesthetic development. It is essential for all the students of all the classes and age groups to get involved in some kind of extracurricular activities as well
(Kapur,2018).
Where, Speaking is one the primary skill out of other skills of language learning. As the primary function of language is to make the learners able to interact and communicate, teaching of speaking becomes one of the important skills to be taught or focused. Speaking refers to one’s ability to express fluently in a foreign language. Speaking skills includes grammar, vocabulary of language, rules of speaking and use of the language appropriately. Speaking is considered as on the complex complicated skills. And these problems mostly occur when teacher teach foreign language like English. Davies and Pears (2008) states thatpeople feel problems in speaking because they don’t like speaking in front of large group, they become unable to recognize the pronunciation and they do not get sufficient time to think before speaking. Furthermore, some common problems that are related to teacher and students can be solved to some extent by adopting different extracurricular activities. Regarding this, Ur (2005) suggest engage student in group work/pair work, give training in discussion skills, and keep students speaking in target language and so on.
