Abstract

Study this aim for described by short scientific concepts contained in the interstellar film. This science concept Becomes its attraction for the audience. The method used in a study is descriptive qualitative where the researcher analyzes the phenomenon or incident in this movie. Data collection is carried out with the method of watching movies more carefully than taking notes case what just want is in the discussion then look for a journal or related videos about what was discussed. Research results show that there are two theories main in this film later becomes another theory. That thing is gravity and relativity. The second case presents other theories like a blackhole, singularity, a wormhole, a world with higher dimensions and paradoxical. Interstellar can Become an ingredient very interesting teaching, both in school and in lectures so that the class does not feel boring.

INTRODUCTION

The natural universe keeps many mysteries that have not been solved, even on earth this is still many things not yet answered.

However, nature universe outside there owns a distant mystery more many have not solved.

Even though so, progress man in there are so many fields of science specifically in field astronomy. Astronomy is science that studies about natural universe and things sky from the various side, so that science-based (Hall, 2014). Knowledge astronomy originated from the thoughts of those who think about how the natural universe formed (Zwicky, 2012).

The movie is gathering moving pictures accompanied by sound, so that makes it more interesting and feel live. Movies can be used as a medium for giving information by no direct or as entertainment course (Vogel, 2020). A movie is a tool in the form of images and sounds that can interest the attention of many people because movies can load scenes that are lively and also contained amount combinations among sound, color, costume, and take a very beautiful picture. The movie is featured in a story in shape image and sound created as good as possible with game existing cameras, editing techniques, and scenarios.

The movie is a thin sheet made from cellulose acetate or coated nitrocellulose with sensitive radiation emulsion for taking Photos or moving images (Allen & Triantaphillidou, 2012).

A leader is needed in a group or organization to arrange the way a mission

reaches its goal (Goleman, 2017). Director leads in Case taking an image, and determine what only will be seen by the audience, set behavior in front of the camera, aim acting and dialogue, determine position and motion camera, sound, lighting and follow as well as do the editing. A director what we can be certain of is trying to do the best thing in filmmaking. Movies have various kinds of genres, one of them is the genre of Science Fiction or abbreviated to Sci-Fi. Science fiction is a film genre in which there are studies scientific and future technological is very interesting (Latham, 2014). In a science fiction film, a director usually involves someone who is an expert in the field of science to fiction scientific in the film approaching or even same with what happens in life real.

One of Christopher Nolan's films, Interstellar, became a famous film because study scientific that can say accurate (Furby, 2015). Christopher Nolan is known as a very idealistic director where he always makes a scene in the movie as realistic as possible as in this movie where blackhole simulated based on formula Einstein's gravity written reworked by Kip Thorne. Interstellar films involve a Professor of expert physics from the Institute of A Californian Tech Named Kip Thorne.

This film also has a special book that discusses science about the film. The book was written by Kip Thorne entitled "The Science of Interstellar". In addition, there are also journals

scientific about how to make simulation blackhole in the film Interstellar (James et al.

2015).

Christopher Nolan's film Interstellar tells the story of Cooper a former pilot of a space agency namely NASA. At that time, earth currently experiences crisis food that makes Earth the more day the more no worthy inhabited. Cooper got a mysterious message that shows a coordinated facility confidential belonging to NASA. He considers that mysterious message that is the ghost trying to interact with him. Besides, the thing that is considered ghost is also trying to interact with his daughter named Murphy with method drop book from the shelf and make morse code of falling dust. Cooper got a mission for becoming a pilot in mission looking for a decent planet inhabited. He agrees with the mission but His daughter named Murphy does not want his father to go, so that occur quarrel between father and daughter. In the end, Cooper left with leaving his children and in- laws. Journey looking for the planet far away.

because of that, they use the wormhole as a road shortcut. The first planet where Cooper landed very close with a blackhole, so that occur dilation enough time big that resulted in one hour on the planet same with seven year time on earth (Simanjuntak, et al, 2021). By the time Cooper and his team arrived on the second planet, he realize something true that mission is to make the new colony and left all humans on earth. That thing makes Cooper angry and he hurries up for going home to

Earth but some things are not wanted happened to the plane outside the sky that caused he and his remaining team no can go home to earth. In the end, Cooper sacrificed himself to drop himself into a blackhole and left Amelia who was the only one left. Amelia with the remainder ingredient burns it to the third planet by herself.

The draft is an image that refers to a base certain and used to understand something meaning from all shape events that occur in nature. Draft most scientific mentioned in this movie is relativity and gravity where the second Case the linked with phenomenon dilated time When near blackhole. The second Case refers to the theory of relativity commonly discovered by famous scientists Albert Einstein. In theory, general relativity mentions that space and time no will the same in every place (Will, 2014). In this film, there is a scene that shows differences very far time that is one hour the same as seven year.

Difference distant time the caused by the size of gravity moment be near the blackhole.

Besides the blackhole, this film also mentions wormhole. A wormhole simply is a road shortcut for going to something very far away place (Cristopher Nolan & Jonathan Nolan, 2014). The shape wormhole in this movie is no lah-shaped hole, but shape three dimensions from circle namely the ball. General Theory of Relativity or could be abbreviated as TRU was developed by Einstein to handle a framework system with a system of gravity and acceleration that could not be solved by

special relativity theory. Gravity is defined as the effect from curvature room time because of the existence of deployment mass and energy inside the time-space.

METHOD

Research methods are needed moment researching something and are Case important for reach perfection something research. The research method steps scientific use for look for a solution in something Theory lesson (Mayring, 2014). The research method is a procedure used for reaching the purpose end.

The research technique data analysis used is descriptive qualitative. The research model used aims forget complete results about object problem according to view researcher (Simanjuntak, et al, 2021)..

The method used in a study is descriptive qualitative wherein in a study, the researcher analyzes phenomena or events in the film (Merriam & Tisdell, 2015).

Qualitative descriptive are the most theoretical to research of all the qualitative approaches (Lambert & Lambert, 2012). Tools used in data collection are books and pens for taking notes on the sections that will be discussed.

Research data could be in the form of sentences in the dialogue in the film. Data collection is carried out with how to (1) watch movies with pay attention to dialogue and other details in the frame, (2) take notes things you want to be discussed along with minutes to how many Cases the discussed, (3) looking for a journal or related videos about what is

discussed, (4) presents data based on results study then interesting conclusion.

FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION

There are several science concepts used in Christopher Nolan's interstellar film.

Among them are gravity anomalies, Wormholes, relativity, blackholes, and worlds with higher dimension.

1. Anomaly gravity The duration

period Data Description 19:40-21:02 Cooper : gravity

Analysis and discussion: Cooper at first did not pay attention to gravity anomaly until moment anomaly gravity that makes falling dust shape something coordinates. Then he tries to look for location coordinate that's the real one that leads to facilities confidential belonging to NASA. Previously, there were also things strange similar to that and Cooper only consider that just ghosts. At the end of the film, Cooper understands that figure ghost the is himself try to him to communicate.

Anomaly has the meaning of deviation from the real one could conclude that gravitational anomaly is oddity or deviation from gravity (Franklin & Fischbach, 2016).

2. Wormhole The duration

period Data Description 58:20-58:49 Romilly: So they say you

want to go from here to there. But it's too far, right?

So a Wormhole bends

(5)

space like this, so you can

take a shortcut through a higher dimension. Okay, so to show that, they've turned three-dimensional space into two dimensions which turns a Wormhole into two dimensions, a circle. What's a circle in three dimensions?

Cooper: A sphere

Analysis and discussion: Wormhole is a road shortcut for going to very far away places through higher dimensions (Kaku, 2016).

Wormhole is road shortcut theoretical link two places in nature universe (Jusufi, 2017). Called a Wormhole because likened to the ant whose world is surface fruit apple and their wormhole that connects two-point the surface like a road shortcut. The dialogue explains that a shape wormhole is not a shaped circle, but a spherical which is shaped three dimensions from the circle. It happened because shape actually from wormhole is four dimensions where we are alive in world three-dimension no could look shape four dimensions. by observation, a wormhole has not yet once found. Kip Thorne in the book “The Science of Interstellar (2014)” explains that wormhole that are near Saturn only speculation and wormhole the are wormhole artificial where there is the creature that made it. In the movie, the thing called “ They ”are five-dimensional beings.

3. Relativity and Blackhole The duration

Romilly: The planet is much closer to Gargantua than we thought.

Cooper: Gargantua?

Doyle: It's what we're calling the blackhole.

Miller's and Dr. Mann's planets both orbit it.

Romilly: As a basketball around a hoop. Landing there takes us dangerously close. And a blackhole that big has a huge gravitational pull.

Cooper: Look, I could swing around that neutron star to decelerate.

Amelia: No, it's not that.

It's time. The gravity on that planet will slow our clock compared to Earth's drastically.

Cooper: How bad?

Romilly: Every hour we spend on that planet will be

seven years back on Earth.

1:15:06- 1:15:20

Amelia: Time is relative, okay? It can stretch and it can squeeze, but it can't run backwards. It just can't. The only thing that can move across dimensions, like time, is gravity.

Analysis and discussion: The dialogue explains the theory of relativity where time is relative, as Einstein said. Time will slow down if approach a thing that has style enormous gravity. Besides, the more we move approach speed light so time will also slow down. theory of relativity general defines gravity as an effect from curvature time-space because existence of deployment mass and energy inside time-space. Blackhole is the thing the sky with mass million times more big from sun, very big gravity interesting all things around including light. Blackhole makes space and time are very warped so that makes time slow down (deaton et al, 2013). Blackhole has a tip called a singularity (Landsman, 2021).

inside singularity, laws natural no will apply.

scientists think that inside singularity there are higher dimensions. Regardless of the interstellar film, phenomena dilated The time is also included in the GPS (Global Positioning System). GPS uses a satellite system that evolves on the earth with very high speed so that experienced time satellite Becomes slower. because of that, GPS is necessary recalculated so that the

measurement Becomes accurate (Hadas &

Bosy, 2015).

Theory of Relativity allows the presence of blackhole in the form of singularity in spacetime with mass and attraction extreme gravity. In addition, theory relativity also allows the existence of whitehole which is opposite from blackhole and wormhole.

Wormhole own time short life for allowing object through it. The theory of relativity also allows the presence of “Closed Timelike Curves” or CTC that connects two different times. Because of that, travel time to the past allows but Case the prohibited by law second thermodynamics related complexity that allows direction time only towards the future (Loewer, 2012). At the time a thing approaches blackhole, a thing that will feel the

“spaghetti” effect because of the difference of very strong gravity Among the two adjacent points (DeCristofano, 2012).

Tars : Somewhere in their fifth dimension. They saved us.

Cooper: Yeah? Who the hell is "they"? And just why would they want to help us?

Tars : I don't know, but they constructed this three- dimensional space inside their five-dimensional reality to allow you to understand it.

Cooper: Yeah, that ain't working.

Tars : Yes, it is. You've seen that time is represented here as a physical dimension. You have worked out that you can exert a force across space-time.

Cooper: Gravity to send a message. Gravity can cross the dimensions, including time.

2:29:32- 2:30:30

Cooper: Don't you get it yet, TARS? I brought myself here! We're here to

communicate with the three-dimensional world.

We're the bridge! I thought they chose me. But they didn't choose me, they chose her.

Tars : For what, Cooper?

Cooper: To save the world.

All of this is one little girl's bedroom.

Every moment. It's infinitely complex. They have access to infinite time and space, but they're not bound by anything! They can't find a specific place in time. They can't communicate. That's why I'm here. I'm gonna find a way to tell Murph just like I found this moment.

Analysis and discussion: Cooper dropped himself to in blackhole Together with a robot named Tars. Cooper comes in to higher dimension where he could access space and time by no limit. He could communicate with small Murph and her alone with method make disturbance gravity on world four later dimensions feel Murph as a gravitational anomaly. He could look at every moment in the room his daughter by no limited and when that's Cooper realized that figure the ghost that's been this try communicate is himself

alone. This Incident make a paradox where no there is clarity of which is the beginning and which is the end. The paradox is When a Case is stuck in a circle no time there is the beginning and the end (Simanjuntak & Barus, 2020). “They” are meant in the interstellar film as five-dimensional beings. Human live in world of three dimensions where no one allows us for seeing the world inside four dimensions or more but could look at the projection (Jablonka & Lamb, 2014). For example, when a Cube caught light appropriate from on it, then the resulting projection is a square, meaning creature three dimensions could look projection from thing four dimensions.

CONCLUSION

Interstellar is a very interesting film for those people who like fiction scientific because the study scientific in this movie is so realistic and able to calculate. this movie invite viewer to think that time it's relative. this movie will make viewers confused and wonder why can occur as that so that need at least watches twice to understand the film.

Interstellar can Become an ingredient very interesting teaching, both in school and in lectures. Interstellar is already many studied by people even Becomes a scientific reference.

Based on results research, found two things to be problem main in this movie is gravity and relativity. The second Case gives birth to several Cases as blackhole, wormhole, singularities, and worlds with higher

dimensions. Draft scientific display in this movie made based on existing theories. With no direction, this movie reminds people for more nurse Earth with the good because at the time this is a fact Earth the more no healthy.

This movie also shows that journey to the future is more allowed than the journey to the past.
