The effect of applying the recall method by using Speectron on students' performance in pronouncing the ending of the regular verb”. This study was conducted to 1) find out the effect of applying the Call method by using Speechtron on students' performance in pronouncing the End of the regular verb. It means that there was a significant effect of applying the Call method by using Speechtron on the students' performance in pronouncing the ending of the regular verb.
Furthermore, in completing the research titled "The Effect of Applying Calling Method Using Speechtron on the Students' Performance in Pronouncing the End of the Common Verb" the researcher faced many problems and difficulties and without much help from the following people, it was impossible for her to finish it.
Background of the Study
Bina Satria Medan Marelan, found that many students still have problems with pronunciation, students cannot pronounce the ending –ed of correct verbs. In addition, teachers can use some electronic media, such as embedded software, as a phenomenon of the fast-paced globalization era. Thus, this has been defined as "finding and studying the use of the computer in language learning and teaching" and is now routinely used in a variety of learning situations.
Based on the description above, the researcher intends to conduct a research titled "The effect of applying calling method using Speechtron on the student's performance in pronouncing the ending of the regular verb".

What is the effect of applying the Call method by using SpeechTRON software as a medium in teaching pronunciation and ending regular verbs in the Recount text in the eighth grade of SMP Yp.
The Objective Of the Study
The Significance of the Study
The students: gain the knowledge of speaking to increase their pronunciation in pronouncing the words. The Researcher: This study contributes to the research by helping to find the best method for teaching the pronunciation of the words and obtaining information from this study.
Theoretical Framework
Pronunciation

The Organs of Speech (teftlersinn.blogspot.com)
Elements of Pronunciation
The other is suprasegmental features, which refer to features such as stress, pitch intonation, and other features that always accompany the production of segments. Like the word good heavens [/gud- h€ venz/], it can be said that stress, as a feature. They are five features in the supra segmental; they are stress, intonation, pitch, pauses and rhythm.
Both segmental and supra segmental features are actually connected with learning others, we cannot pronounce an utterance from only one side of them.
The Importance and Difficulties in Pronunciation
That is why pronunciation is always important, not only for beginning students, not only when it concerns intelligibility, but at all times. Ramelan (2003:17) stated several reasons why students usually do not succeed in pronouncing foreign sounds. Another pronunciation problem is that there are sounds that do not exist in Indonesian.
All in all, pronunciation is always an important part and very crucial, even if it is not always easy.
Pronunciation –ed ending regular verbs
But the main point refers that someone does not need to have an exact perfect native speaker pronunciation, but someone needs to speak clearly enough to be understood.
Pronunciation Teaching
These are all examples of minimal pairs - words or phrases that differ by only one phoneme. Teachers can use minimal pairs to good advantage in the classroom as a way to focus on sounds that have caused difficulties for students. Homographs are words that have the same spelling but different pronunciations (why don't you read this book? And I already have; wind /wInd/ as in weather and wind /waInd/ as in what you do with a clock) .
Homophones are words that have the same pronunciation but different spellings (write and good; there, their and they, honest and good).
Media

This has thus been defined as "the search for and study of applications of the computer in language learning and teaching" and is now routinely used in a variety of teaching situations. The file can be typed or pasted into the text window, and just pressing the speak button converts the text into a clear voice that users choose from the synthesizer. The program can be used over a wide range of applications that output in text form.
The page control bar allows you to set the font and adjust the foreground and background color of the text display box. The text to be read can be imported by the tools in the top control bar, or the text can be pasted into the main text box. There are sliders for adjusting speaking rates and changing the tone of the voice.
The current speed and variable voice tones from low to high pitch, as well as the status of the synthesizer are displayed. The "STOP" button can be used to stop recording at any time, otherwise recording will stop automatically when all text in the main text box has been recorded. As a product of the development of technology, its role is Software such as computer-assisted language learning (CALL) to facilitate ESL has a history dating back to the 1950s.
First, CALL can teach pronunciation skills without consuming much of the SL instructor's time (Masatake, Kawahara & Tsubota, 2004). With the software's guidance, they can easily practice their pronunciation by imitating the software's voice.
Relevant Studies
Conceptual Framework
- Research Hypothesis
The researcher checked the effect of using the Call method using the Speechtron on the students' achievements in pronouncing the ending of the correct verb. The research methods are, firstly, the researcher gave a pre-test to the students. Second, the researcher was given the treatment of the students, and the last researcher was given a post-test.
Ha: There is a significant effect of applying the calling method using Speechtron on the students' performance in pronouncing the regular verb.
Location of the Research
- Sample
In this case, the researcher used the chosen VIII-1, VIII-2 and VIII-3 and took 25% of each class as the sample consisted of 30 students. When large population and researchers may not learn everything that was in the population, for example due to limited funds, manpower and time, and then the researcher uses the sample drawn from that population.
Research Design
- Pre-Test
- Treatment
- Post-Test
To find out the effect of applying the Call method using Speechtron on the pronunciation of the regular verb ending of the recount text.
Instrument of the Research
The point is to know students' performance after learning the software (experimental class) and without the software (control class).
The Technique for Collecting Data
The Techniques for Analyzing Data
10-15 Fair: stutters, but manages to reformulate and continue 5-10 Unsatisfactory: speech rate and word length are far below. Tabulation of pre-test and post-test scores for the experimental group. The first analysis focuses on how the software was used as a medium to teach regular verb pronunciation in the Recount text.
The second analysis presents the results of the pre-test and the post-test which were done both in the experimental group and in the control group.
Data Collection
- MPW 15 5 5 10 35
The instrument of the test is the reading of Recount text that contained more than 20 items of the regular verb ending in ed. The students were grouped into three groups, and each of the groups had one voice recording tool. The data of this study, the students' initial (sample) and the students' pre-test scores of the two groups are shown in Table 4.1 below.
The Data Analysis
Based on table 4.2 and 4.4, the following table was the result of pre-test and post-test in the control group. Next, the following formula was implemented to find out the error in the standard deviation between X and Y.

Objective
Up until a week ago, I was almost in the hospital because I put too much chili in my meatballs. I was eating a bowl of my favorite meatball and put too many spoonfuls of sambal in it. The next day my stomach felt like it was on fire and I got diarrhea.
I thought the stomach ache would slowly go away when I let the food out, but it turns out my stomach was more sore afterwards. My father asked me to check my condition at the hospital, but my mother told me to leave the food out again. I decided to do what my mom suggested, hoping it would work, because if it didn't, I would have to follow my dad's suggestion.
Method and Technique
Teaching and Learning Activity
Teacher gives time for the students to ask something if they do not understand about Speechtron and how to use in pronunciation and then divide the students into three groups and each. Students read the material or the students retell their stories in their own words in front of the class.
