This convention proved to be a turning point from the association to the organized Church of the Nazarene. This successful campaign led to the establishment of the first Nazarene church in this city. Wordsworth introduced a resolution welcoming the Lay Holiness Association in association with the Church of the Nazarene.
We are looking for great results to come from the united work of the Church of the Nazarene in the Northwest. Morrison had found his people and his full place in the promotion of the gospel. A few more years and the Church of the Nazarenes will arrive (as far as this territory is concerned).
Morrison resigned as the pioneer leader of the Minneapolis district and accepted another responsibility in the denomination.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit He with you all. Morrison was one of the finest, most dynamic, most ethical, most intelligent, most spiritual men I have ever known. Wiley, a strong theologian and a wise educator, gave the college ten years of fruitful service and helped to start a school out of breath and place it on a working foundation.
Just as we were deciding to accept the call to the great pastorate, the board of trustees of Northwest Nazarene College asked us to accept the presidency of the college, which was vacated by the resignation of Dr. fearing the enormous difficulties and responsibilities involved, we humbly accepted and assumed the management of this school under God and with the help of the Church of the Nazarene. Morrison assumed the duties of president of the college, attended assemblies and scouting meetings of the student area, and assumed many responsibilities regarding Nampa.
Are there two hundred readers of THE MESSENGER who will send us a dollar each and make everything white in the old Northwest Nazarene College premises. Before enrolling in the fall term, this writer was one of the group that helped paint the buildings. Kansas City, Missouri has been the international headquarters of the Church of the Nazarene since 1912.
At the general board meeting on February 12, 1927, the question of an executive field secretary to promote the general interests of the church was prayerfully considered. Reynolds had assumed a large part of the responsibility for the missionary interests of the movement, along with the other duties of his high office. He was one of the most extensive travelers in Nazareneism, and he visited and organized all the mission fields up to that time.
He was also editor of the Other Sheep, the church's monthly missionary organ. This matter of business was placed as the number one item in the General Board's obstruction. You were unanimously elected Executive Field Secretary to drive and direct the raising of the General Budget.

The seventh general assembly of the Church of the Nazarene met in June 1928 in Columbus, Ohio. The change in the name of the office, along with the other recommendations, was fully approved by the General Board and a vote of confidence was given to Dr. Morrison had not been well enough to accompany her husband to the General Assembly in Columbus, so he informed her of his acceptance of the position.
Among the speakers was Harmon Schmelzenbach, pioneer of the Nazarene Church in South Africa. These were days of great inspiration both for him and for the Nazarenes of the British Isles. Morrison's ability and spirit placed him in the front ranks of the holiness movement; he was recognized as a preacher of the highest quality.
His services were in constant demand, for his message met the needs of the day. Wordsworth said of this aspect: “The faith of the Church has been strengthened everywhere. Dr. Just as abruptly, he remembered the fact of the holiday in response to the absences.
One of his responsibilities was editing the school newspaper, called the Nazarean Herald. That portion of lost property which is restored after death by living the holy life. The value of this dissertation was so well recognized that it was included in the Church of the Nazarene's four-year course of study for licensed ministers beginning in 1936.
The Nazarene Publishing House published and managed the sale of all his books, with the exception of The Lost Bride. As I went down the street I looked back and she was standing in the door with the Bible under her arm and waving her hand. His books are in many public libraries, including all Church of the Nazarene college libraries.
The Ninth General Assembly of the Church of the Nazarene met in June 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri. Morrison was elected on the fifth ballot and the announcement was met with great enthusiasm from the assembly.

They gathered for the preaching of the highest experiences and harsh standards that the New Testament could provide. Morrison consistently left churches with a good attitude toward the Lord's work wherever he went. The time of departure and arrival of the party would have done credit to a military force.
The Nazarenes of that wonderful country are also to be named among the best of the connection. Brother Smee was elected at the first blow of the Commencement pistol and provided an excellent list of goals for the new year. Morrison to visit the island of Trinidad in 1938 and observe the missionary work of the Church of the Nazarene in that area.
Another seven days and we will, with the good pleasure of the Master, see Cape Town, South Africa. It would be a pleasure to exchange the deck of Llangibby Castle for solid ground. They are a recital of the faithfulness and sacrifice of missionaries, national workers and the native church.
General Superintendent Morrison presided over the first two ordination services of the Church of the Nazarene in Africa. From the January, 1940, issue of the Minnesota Nazarene, this report is reproduced, as written by Superintendent J. Ludwig: "The Church of the Nazarene still feels the influence of his godly life and his passionate prayer for the cause of missions."
