English for specific purpose is one of the English language courses for specific purposes where students who take this course will learn English according to their needs and the field they are studying. This study raises the case where the D3-Dental Nurse Department at the Banjarmasin Health Ministry's English class used ESP in all of their English lessons.
This research uses qualitative descriptive techniques as a research method.
The research data was obtained by conducting interviews with class A students D3 – Dental Nurse Department class of 2020 and English lecturers who teach in their classes, interviews here are conducted online. This study uses 3 procedure steps, namely: Data Condensation, Data Display, and Conclusion Withdrawal and Verification.
After analyzing the data, the researchers found that D3 – Dental Nurse Department students used ESP for learning English in their class, and this was also conveyed by the lecturer who taught them at that time in the first semester of the students' lectures. Apart from that, the researchers also found out the benefits students got when studying ESP in their class, the students stated that it was very helpful for them to practice vocabulary on medical devices as well as soft skills for finding a job.

Bahasa Inggris untuk tujuan tertentu merupakan salah satu kursus bahasa Inggris untuk tujuan tertentu dimana mahasiswa yang mengikuti kursus ini akan belajar bahasa Inggris sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan bidang yang dipelajarinya.
Penelitian ini mengangkat kasus dimana kelas Bahasa Inggris Jurusan D3 - Perawatan Gigi Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin menggunakan ESP dalam seluruh pembelajaran Bahasa Inggrisnya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif sebagai metode penelitian. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap mahasiswa kelas A D3 – Jurusan Perawat Gigi angkatan 2020 dan dosen Bahasa Inggris yang mengajar di kelasnya, wawancara disini dilakukan secara Daring.
Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 langkah prosedur yaitu: Kondensasi Data, Tampilan Data, dan Penarikan Kesimpulan dan Verifikasi.
Setelah menganalisis data, peneliti menemukan bahwa mahasiswa Jurusan D3 - Perawat Gigi menggunakan ESP untuk pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di kelasnya, dan hal ini juga disampaikan oleh dosen yang mengajar mereka saat itu pada semester pertama perkuliahan mahasiswa. Selain itu peneliti juga mengetahui manfaat yang diperoleh siswa ketika mempelajari ESP di kelasnya, siswa menyatakan sangat membantu mereka untuk melatih kosa kata pada alat kesehatan serta softskill untuk mencari pekerjaan.
