measures of recent alcohol consumption in zero-inflated models are listed above. The base model accounts for demographic, anthropomorphic, HIV variables, and lifetime alcohol exposure (LAE) rank-percentile only. The extended model additionally accounts for the potentially confounding effects of substance use and smoke- tobacco use. Confidence intervals for the zero model component represents the log-odds of no or undetectable recent alcohol use for each unit increase in frailty. Confidence intervals for the continuous model component represent the log-linear increase in recent alcohol use per unit increase in frailty. Bolded values indicate statistically significant terms (p <0.050). Additional abbreviations: phosphatidylethanol (PEth); 30-day alcohol timeline follow-back (TLFB); 58-item deficit index (DI58); phenotypic frailty index (PFI)
