Representative dot blots and gating strategies for HC (=healthy control), S3 (=HIV-infected) and BRO (=individual with non-small cell lung carcinoma. The first gate (black gate, first panel) was placed on the monocyte fraction in FSC and SSC. For CD33 and CD15 analysis, we gated on the CD11b+ and CD14- population (red square gate, second panel).

The main fraction of MDSC could be found in the population above the monocyte fraction in FSC and

SSC (oval red gate, first panel).
