Abstract. The abstract should summarize the content of the paper in short terms, i.e. max. 350 words! Please insert it here (Times New Roman 9).
As you write your abstract (one paragraph only without any references), break it down into different components. Think of the abstract-making task as writing a very brief peer-reviewed paper. It should include the following:
• Context/Purpose: One to two sentences explaining why you studied this particular topic and its significance.
Has past research been done? How does your research add to existing knowledge?
• Methods: Explain why you studied this particular topic and its significance in one to two sentences. How did you collect your data? How did you process your data?
• Results: Three to four sentences about what you found through your research.
• Discussion/Interpretation: Up to four sentences discussing those findings. What do the results mean?
• Conclusion: One sentence summarizing what you have learned from your research and why it is significant.
Keywords: First Keyword, Second Keyword, Third Keyword, Fourth Keyword, Fifth Keyword (Times New Roman 9).
1 Introduction (Times New Roman 12)

Please insert here the Fourth Section “Discussion,” which should be the most detailed section (Times New Ro- man 10).
Here you can also use subsections if needed. First, give the interpretation of your results. For example, what the facies described in your Results section mean in terms of the depositional environment? You can also compare the outcomes of your results with some other similar areas/findings. Please insert a concluding paragraph that could also contain an outlook (what to do next after this study) sentence.
Please note that the first paragraph of a section or subsection is not indented. The first paragraph, which follows a table, figure, equation etc. does not have an indent.
Subsequent paragraphs, however, are indented (here, insert the second paragraph).
5 Conclusions (Times New Roman 12)
Please insert here the Fifth Section.
(Times New Roman 10) Insert up to five key findings of your study (i.e. highlights). Each finding should be a maximum of 150 characters. For example:
We mapped and dated (36Cl cosmogenic exposure method) a rock avalanche with two successive events in Namaras Valley in SW Turkey.
The first event occurred 4.59 ka ago and covered an area of 0.5 km2
The second event occurred 3.77 ka ago and was lower in magnitude, covering an area of 0.2 km2.
Glacial erosion appears as the preparatory factor of the rock avalanche.
The mid-Holocene climatic variability possibly triggered the rock avalanche.
For citations of references in the text, we prefer the use of square brackets and consecutive numbers. Citations using labels or the author/year convention are not acceptable.
