The purpose of this study is to find the meaning of the phenomenon space Keraton Kasepuhan. Keraton Kasepuhan has historical value as the center that spread Islam in the western part of Java. According to Agustina (2014), the vocabulary of spatial knowledge in the form of esoteric traditions still survives in Keraton Kasepuhan.

This research is focused on Keraton kasepuhan because it is the oldest of Cirebon's Keratons. The king of Keraton Kasepuhan has an important role in determining the status of residents of the Magersari settlement. Keraton Manager has located the market place from Magersari to Keraton Kasepuhan's core area.

One of the Islamic mystical forms that is still strong in Keraton Kasepuhan is Tawassulan. Tawassulan is the activity of praying for ancestors of Keraton Kasepuhan, especially Sunan Gunung Jati. The rituals take place at the tomb of Sunan Gunung Jati located in Mount Sembung tomb complex, located 7 km north of Keraton Kasepuhan.

Therefore, the esoteric tradition as practiced in Keraton Kasepuhan generates the spiritual consciousness of the performers.

Thus, the conclusion drawn from the above explanation is that the local phenomenon of Keraton Kasepuhan is a spatial reality that is both exoteric and esoteric dimensionally. Exoteric in terms of an artifact, a product of the expression of human culture, and esoteric in terms of the values ​​and sense of spiritual consciousness.

The result of this study shows that Keraton Kasepuhan is a place that gives spiritual awareness to the community due to the following: (1) Keraton's spatial awareness as a source of spirituality, (2) the practice of getok tular or the transfer of knowledge to younger participants, which enable the continuity of the regeneration process, (3 ) Royal policy in preserving the esoteric tradition. Such a measure is essential, as it is necessary to preserve the development of spiritual consciousness in the life of an individual, given the negative effects of globalization, which constantly undermines values; but above all faith in God. The diminution of spiritual consciousness could potentially destroy the lives of mankind and their cosmic relationships with the universe in which they live.

Therefore, Keraton Kasepuhan, as a place that still maintains its esoteric tradition by imparting spiritual awareness to its participants, is a place to maintain and preserve its practical culture.

Keraton Kasepuhan maintains its esoteric tradition: a tradition that contains religious values ​​through Islamic beliefs (Agustina, 2014). The purpose of this paper is to reveal this local phenomenon in Keraton Kasepuhan; a phenomenon that could contribute to the divine values ​​of reality in the formation of the spatial construct of spiritual consciousness in Keraton Kasepuhan.

Therefore, Keraton Kasepuhan is a place that can be interpreted as a two-dimensional reality, both physical (exoteric) and spiritual (esoteric) reality But in the esoteric dimension, Keraton Kasepuhan is a space in the perspective of divine values ​​and a sense of spiritual consciousness of the community (see Figure 2, which shows the spatial constructions of the spiritual consciousness of Keraton Kasepuhan).

2 The spatial construction of spiritual consciousness is part of the dissertation of a study in Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon conducted since 2011.
