Motivation is one of the most important parts to increase employee performance. On the other hand, high labor turnover surely could not resist in hospitality industry. It has massive impact to run the hospitality business nowadays if the company does not pay their own attention on it. To prevent and avoid high labor turnover, it can be handled by giving sort of motivation, in this case appropriate rewards. This research surely have an idea to look further about does motivation regarding on rewards have correlation on employee performance and definitely looking forward about which type of rewards will affect the most on employee performance. By using SPSS software and simple linear regression method with 100 samples were taken from The Breezes Bali Resort and Spa through validity and reliability test, classical assumption test, non-parametric tests (chi-square and cross tabulation) and hypothesis testing, it can be conclude that motivation surely have correlation on employee performance. Apart from that point, rewards itself as intervening variable has its own affect. Both of extrinsic and intrinsic rewards have affecting on employee performance. Therefore, extrinsic rewards has greater impact than intrinsic rewards. It is recommended for the hotel to maintain the highest indicators that have some influence on employee performance while put their concerned on the indicator that have less impact on employee performance such as social activity.
