It is expected that thinking style in the educational process will make a significant contribution to social change and will suit the demands of the time. According to statement of the problem above, the general purpose of the study is to describe whether there is any correlation between students' thinking style and students' English performance of students in tenth grade of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro in academic year. The result of the study is expected to help the students to know their type of thinking style.

On the other hand, Reading is a set of skills that involves making sense and deriving meaning from the printed words.28 It can therefore be concluded that reading is a fluent process of readers extracting information from a text and their combine own background knowledge to build meaning. Speaking is a productive skill that can be observed directly and empirically; those observations are invariably colored by the accuracy and efficiency of a test taker's listening skills, which inevitably compromises the reliability and validity of an oral production test.31 In terms of speaking, it is the learner's ability to use language principles to compensate for gaps. in skill and knowledge.32 It consists in the production of systematic verbal utterances to convey meaning.

The next step, using product moment correlation analysis, used to find out whether there is a significant correlation between students' thinking style and students' English performance in tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro in academic year 2015/2016 or not. Meanwhile, the document consists of the list of the tenth grade student of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro and the document with the score of the English subject. Validation is intended to determine whether the instrument is worthwhile or not when asked to the Senior High School level of students.

The documentation method is used to find data from written documentation such as daily record, transcript, book, newspaper.47 In this research, the documentation is used to obtain some data on student achievement in English of tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah 5. Purwantoro in the academic year 2015/2016.

The questionnaire used to determine the thinking style of the students by completing the questionnaire given to each student to fill in accordance with the actual situation. The questionnaire used to obtain the thinking style data, to determine which thinking style of the students is the most dominant. This thinking style questionnaire is the result of John Le Tellier's development and Gregorc's adaptability results validated by a psychologist.

The data in this research is the result of English survey and the questionnaire about students' thinking style. To find out the relationship between students' thinking style and students' English performance, the researcher uses Pearson Product Moment correlation. Mx = Mean (students' thinking style) . ∑fx = the total number of scores multiplication of deviation and frequency).

Meanwhile, to know whether there is a significant correlation between students' thinking style and students' English achievement in the tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro or not. Cx´ = Correlation value in variable x (students' thinking style) Cy´ = Correlation value in variable y (students' English . achievement).

The teacher's role is often formal and ongoing, carried out through the profession or profession in a school in another place of formal education. The facilities and infrastructures at SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro consist of: The building condition contains classroom, principal's room, teachers' room, administration room, students.

In this description to get data, the researcher conducted by giving a questionnaire about students' thinking style to tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro. The table above can conclude that the highest score of the students' thinking style is 52 and the lowest score is 36. The researcher took the students' English performance from the student's Grade Point Average (GPA).

Thus, it can be said that the students' English achievement in the tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro is sufficient. In the academic year 2015/2016, there is a significant correlation between students' way of thinking and students' achievement in English in the tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro.

There is no significant relationship between students' thinking style and students' English performance by tenth grade student of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro in the academic year 2015/2016. This means that there was significant correlation between students' thinking style and students' English performance in tenth grade students at SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro in the academic year 2015/2016. On the other hand, students' English performance of tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro in high category with.

It means that there was a significant correlation between students' thinking style and students' achievement in English in the tenth grade of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro academic year 2015/2016. Based on the above explanation, it is shown that students' thinking style affects students' English achievement.

In the teaching-teaching process, the teacher should give motivation to the students so that the students are eager to learn and understand the material easily. In the teaching process, the teacher should use the media because it makes the students learn English more excited. Actually, if you get less score, it's not your fool, but it's that you don't know the thinking style accurately.
