Then if we turn left we will arrive to Pagar Dewa Kelurahan Office.
Okay ladies and gentlemen now I would like to explain about Bengkulu Province. Bengkulu is a province located on the island of Sumatra. The capital itself is located in Bengkulu City, which is the city we are currently in. This province is located in the southwestern part of Sumatra Island and the southern west coast of Sumatra Island. Bengkulu itself is directly bordered by West Sumatra, Jambi Province, South Sumatra and Lampung Province.
Before you travel to Bengkulu Province. You must be research about the Province first right ladies and gentlemen?
If that so, now I want to ask. What flower that be icon in Bengkulu Province? For anybody who knows the answer please raise your hand.
A flower that has become iconic for Bengkulu Province is the Rafflesia Flower. This flower was discovered by Dr. Joseph Arnold on the expedition of Thomas Stanford Raffles in 1818 in the jungles of Sumatra. This
flower has a characteristic pungent smell when blooming. Because this flower itself is a type of obligate parasite plant and also the number 1 largest flower in the world. The pungent smell that resembles the smell of carrion is used to lure insects such as flies, beetles and other small insects to aid in the
pollination process. This flowers are unique because they do not have leaves, roots and stems.
The population of Bengkulu province is divided into 3 tribes, namely, Serawai, Lembak and Rejang. From each of these tribes, there are different types of languages, customs, and regional foods. Even so, Bengkulu City has become a city that does not look at tribes, so people from any tribe are welcome to stop by or even live here as long as they follow the applicable rules.
Okay ladies and gentlemen, now we are in Hasan Basri Circle or the people usually call it Polda Intersaction. From Polda Intersaction, if we go to the right we will arrive at Fireman Rescure Pos Bengkulu, and if we go to the left will arrive at Latansa Hotel.
The city of Bengkulu itself has a lot of regional food and one of them is Ikan Pais. Pais is a type of processed fish food seasoned with spices and wrapped by banana leaves. This dish is usually consumed by the people of Bengkulu every day, meaning this dish can be consumed anytime and anywhere. Pais fish has a savory taste from the spices and sweet and fresh taste found in fish. Then I'm sure this combination will make you addicted if you have tried it. It just so happens that later at lunch time, we have the opportunity to try the dish so please look forward to it.
Okay ladies and gentlemen, now we are in Achmad Rusli Circle. From this intersaction, if we go to the right we will arrive at Nusa Indah Hotel and if we go to the let we will arrive at Museum Negeri Bengkulu.
