“BLUE BIRD” TAXI COMPANY
Blue Bird Group is a market leader in the transportation business, Blue Bird has become a strong brand and is widely known by the public. Starting with a fleet of 25 taxis in 1972, now after more than 30 years in the transportation service business, Blue Bird has grown rapidly with around 12,000 fleets spread throughout Jakarta. The success achieved by Blue Bird cannot be separated from Blue Bird's efforts in utilizing technology. Starting around 1972, Blue Bird was the first to implement a radio communication system in Indonesia and use a strict meter for its fleets. Blue Bird's footsteps were also followed by other taxi companies operating in Indonesia. In the last few years, Blue Bird has been using GPS (Global Positioning System) technology. Besides being used to track the position of its fleets, this GPS is also used as a means of communication between taxi fleets and the Call Center.
In contrast to radio communication technology which is limited to voice communication which is commonly used by taxi operators, this GPS technology makes it easier for operators to determine the position of consumers and which fleets can reach them, so that services can be carried out faster and reduce queues for orders. Another advantage is that consumers do not need to listen to the sound of the radio communication when an order is received by the taxi driver. The development of Blue Bird is not enough only in the city of Jakarta and its surroundings, but in other big cities in Indonesia. In Bali, since 1989 Blue Bird Group has placed its Golden Bird fleet, which was followed by a regular taxi fleet of Bali Taksi in 1994. Then in 1996 and 1997, regular taxis entered Lombok under the name Lombok Taksi and the city of Surabaya. with the name Surabaya Taxi. Around November 2005, Blue Bird began to explore the city of Bandung with its 75 regular taxi fleets. Although the number of fleets is still small, Bandung Taxi is getting quite strong opposition from other taxi operators in Bandung. It must be admitted that the reputation and brand image that has been positioned by the Blue Bird Group, is quite a threat to other taxi operators.
Blue Bird is currently increasing its product diversification to Blue Bird's non-passenger transportation services by providing Container Truck services, namely Iron Bird and Kontanindo Antarmoda Transportation. Apart from the primary transportation business, Blue Bird has also established Holiday Resort Lombok, and automotive manufacturing companies such as Everlite, Restu Ibu, Ziegler Indonesia, as well as other service businesses such as Natural Services, Blue Gas, and Ritra Konnas Freight Centre. The transportation company Blue Bird has successfully implemented a Business Intelligent (BI) solution, namely SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligent (SAP NetWeaver BI). It is a solution that processes raw data into information to support enterprise decision- making and business processes so as to provide a complete picture of the business to meet the different needs of users, IT professionals and senior management. This solution is provided through enterprise portal technology and provides users with a reliable infrastructure, comprehensive tools, planning and simulation capabilities, and data-warehousing functionality.
Business Intelligent applications are needed by companies to collect, store, analyze and provide access to data to help users make accurate business decisions. SAP (System Application and Product) is ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) software, which is an IT and management tool in assisting company planning and policies in making decisions, and is software that is implemented to support organizations in carrying out operational activities more efficiently and effectively. SAP consists of a series of application modules capable of supporting all enterprise transactions. All modules in the SAP application can be integrated in an integrated manner with each other and allow the availability of accurate and actual data. ERP is a software designed to integrate existing business processes, the use of company databases to produce valid information. ERP and Business Intelligence have a relationship, ERP is a system that integrates all existing systems within a company to get the right information and use it for decision making.
The process of implementing Business Intelligent at Blue Bird Group can run well because the outline of the project scope and the company's key performance indicators are very clear. In addition, the implementation process is hierarchical and with the support of professional and qualified consultants.

Blue Bird Group implemented SAP Netweaver BI for Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), CO Profitability Analysis (CO PA) Plant Maintenance (PM) modules, and a specially designed module called “Taximeter System” from the legacy VB system company. The implementation process is carried out by Hermis consulting. In the first phase, SAP NetWeaver BI “GO Live”.
PT Blue Bird Tbk (BIRD) again bought BIRD shares with a total purchase of IDR 165 million in April 2023. Based on information disclosure on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI), Monday (8/5), company bought BIRD shares in two transactions each on April 5 and April 13 2023. The first purchase was 50,000 shares at a price of IDR 1,700 per share on April 5 2023. So the total value of the first transaction was IDR 85 million.
