15. Function of Course

The medicines is a professional tools of veterinarian for giving services and that tools

(including with veterinary medical devices) is a area working of veterinarian. That tools can

(5)

be usefully if that area will be controlled veterinarian. The control of medicines and veterinary medical devices will be effective if the veterinarian have a competence of the veterinary pharmacy science. The competence must be advances start at area of drugs discovery until principles using of the drug via prescriptions. Competence of the veterinarian for area of medicines doesn’t stop just doing the medicine for veterinarian services, but must be added with other knowledge as follows; (1) production of the drug, (2) dispensing form in unit of prescribing services and (3) quality test and control regulation in drug store. All of that competence as descried at above will be indicated that veterinary pharmacy science is important to giving start in student university.

16. Lecture Strategies

In the lecture, students are expected to learn course of pre-requisite first and read learning materials/reference book, than the lecturer only gives outline of study topic or sub study topic or gives examples the true of the fact in real practising. The last of explaining, lecture giving statements for discussion in e-learning and giving assignment. The assignment must be collecting to the lecture about three days after giving assignment.

Especial for learn activities in laboratory, the student must prepared one of the medicines dispensing form as describe in guidance of practice of compounding. After finished the activities of dispensing form, student must discussion to their supervision explored about their product.

There are six model evaluations in veterinary pharmacy science as follows; (1) quiz, (2) mid test and (3) final test, (4) assignment and (5) laboratory examination, (6) evaluation soft skill. Each evaluation have a criteria assessment with proportion described in point 19 at below. For evaluation all the leaning and teaching processing for obtained the excellency competence level, all of point evaluation will be calculate as proportion in point 19 in below.

Assessment Criteria

1. ASSESSMENT SYSTEM

Every test is given in raw score of 0 upto 100. But for final score, assessment is given in 7 grades, that is, A, AB, B, BC, C, D and E.

Final score of a course is determined by result of all test evaluation combined conducted by respective lecturer. The example of test load (quiz), (structured assignment), (soft-skill), (mid- term test), (final test) and practice of laboratory is 1 : 1 : 1 : 2 : : 2: 3.

To process final score (raw score/numeric) to be Value Score in letter is devided into 7 grades.

From final score (raw score) can be process into mean score (X). Score classification is conducted using PENILAIAN ACUAN PATOKAN (PAP)/STANDARD REFERRING ASSESSMENT as follows :

Raw Score Letter Score

≥ 75 70 – 74.9 65 – 69.9 60 – 64.9 55 – 59.9 40 – 54.9

< 40

A AB

B BC

C D E

Score resulted from score processing above is presented in 7 grades as follows :

Letter Score Value Score

A AB

B BC

C D E

4 3.5

3 2.5

2 1 0

2. Others

(7)

Students are allowed to take final test if their attendance reaches 75 % (minimally they attend the class 9 meetings for new students) and 50 % (for students who retake the course )

If students fail to jon quiz, mid-term test, final test, they must have doctor’s certification and must take make up test 1 week later

Submission of structured assignment and practicum report is maximally 1 week from assignment or practicum activity given.

Question type for quiz : essay

For mid-term and final test : multiple choice
