CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP AND POLITICAL BEHAVIOR OF STUDENT LEADERS AND OFFICERS

The presence of political behavior is known to have adverse effects in an organization. Thus this study was conducted to 70 randomly selected student leaders and officers of small groups and academic organization in the university campus to determine if there is a significant relationship between Christian leadership and the presence of political behavior among small group leaders and officers. Survey questionnaire was used to gather information. Results revealed that Christian leadership was highly applied by student leaders and officers of organizations in the university particularly in handling small groups and academic organizations.
Political behaviors were practiced from moderate (28.57%), high (55.71%), to very high (14.29%) by small group leaders and officers of the academic organization. Furthermore, Christian leadership are negatively related to political behavior.
