ABSTRACT
Syntactic analysis is a process to break (a sentence) down into its component parts of speech with an explanation of the form, function, and syntactical relationship of each part. The purpose of this research is to analyze phrase structure rules in the lyrics of the Aladdin movie’s soundtrack. In this case, the aims of the study are to find out the kinds of phrase, to provide the phrase structure rules, and to provide the kinds of phrase mostly found in the lyrics of Aladdin movie’s soundtrack. The design of the research is content analysis qualitative approach, and the data of this research is five kinds of phrase.
Meanwhile, the data source of this research is five songs’ lyrics of Aladdin movie’s soundtrack. Then, the instrument of this research is the writer itself. The result of this research shows that there are five kinds of phrase that found in the lyrics, they are: noun phrase 76 (33.5 %) data, verb phrase 90 (39.6 %) data, adjective phrase 5 (2.2 %) data, adverb phrase 8 (3.6 %) data and prepositional phrase 48 (21.1 %) data. Then, the structure rules of Noun Phrase (NP) are sixteen rules, the structure rules of Verb Phrase (VP) are eleven rules, the structure rules of Adjective Phrase (ADJP) are four rules, the structure rules of Adverb Phrase (ADVP) are four rules, the structure rules of Prepositional Phrase (PP) are three rules. Then, the phrase that mostly found in five song’s lyric in soundtrack of Aladdin movie is verb phrase with 90 (39.6 %) data . it conclude that the writer finds out five kinds of phrase based on phrase structure rules in the lyrics of Aladdin movies soundtrack.

A Brief Bioghraphy
The researcher, Inayatul Umma, was born on August 30th,1997, and grew up in Petir Serang Banten. She is the third child from three siblings, she finished her Elementary Education at SDN Ciburuy Petir Serang Banten in 2009, whereas her junior high school education was finished at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nur El Falah Kubang in 2012, and she finished her senior high school also at SMA Nur El Falah Kubang in 2015. After graduated in senior high school she continued her education by joining undergraduate program of English Education Department, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at The State Islamic University of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten.
