It is this theological discipline that presents the argumentation and evidence for the validity of the Christian faith. This attitude is an insult to the Holy Spirit and Christ, the Lord of the Church.

The Knowledge of God

In terms of the structure of the universe: “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the. There is both God's self-revelation ("the LORD appeared") and the revelation in words ("by the word of the LORD").

3 God

THE TRANSCENDENCE OF GOD

This consideration of God's character lies at the heart of the doctrine of God. This kindness of God is especially related to God entering into a covenant with His people.

The Holy Trinity

ONE GOD

Genesis says that "the Spirit of God moved over the waters" (1:2). 3s In the Gospel of John, Jesus speaks of the Holy Spirit as the "Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father" (15:26).

Creation

DEFINITION

In the book of Job are these words: "The Spirit of God made me, and the breath of the Almighty quickens me" (33:4 NV). The wonder of man's creation from one perspective seems small compared to the wonder of the creation of the heavens and the earth.

PURPOSE

Finally, since the purpose of God's creation was to display His glory, all creation is most blessed when its response is to glorify God. Creation, having received the riches of God's glory, now fulfills its highest purpose of glorifying God.

Providence

This continuous preservation of God's creation is beautifully expressed in the words of the psalmist: "The eyes of all are on You, and You give them food at the right time. Finally, there is the wonderful reality of God's preservation of our being in the midst of the perils and dangers of life.

Miracles

BASIS

In the Old Testament, the miracle of the Red Sea took place through love for His people. Let us focus for a moment on the remarkable demonstration of God's power in the miracle of the virgin birth of Christ. This is true of the accompanying miracle of John the Baptist's conception in Elizabeth's barren womb.

But it is not only the miracles of the past, as the psalmist added a little later. In short, ZBC, “from the fact that verses 9-20 are dropped in the RSV in the margin, it cannot be concluded that they are not part of the inspired Word of God. These quotations testify to the widespread prevalence of "signs" in early Christian witness.

We observe that after his testing in the wilderness, Jesus returned "in the power of the Spirit51 to Galilee." The first chapter, entitled "The Interruption of Charisma," stated a basic theme for miracles, the name-. 452: «There is nothing in the New Testament contrary to the occurrence of miracles in the post-apostolic age of the church.

Angels

THE EXISTENCE OF ANGELS Angels are mentioned many times in

There is no clear Biblical testimony regarding the time of the creation of angels. He is “the angel of the theophany,”68 in which God appeared as an angel. In the order of the angels, “the angel of the Lord” occupies a unique category.

Similarly, in the story of Gideon, "the angel of the Lord came and sat under the oak tree" to speak with Gideon. Man's place in the universe The opening chapter of Genesis describes God's creation of the universe. This is the high privilege of man: to be in the service of the creator of the whole universe.

Thirdly, there is the sphere of the animal world over which man is given dominion. Man Must Reject God's Essence One of the most important features of man's creation in the image of God is that he was created in duality. By participating in the “tree of life” in the city of God (Rev. 22:2), man will focus completely on God Himself.

The Effects of Sin

However, Kardiu can also mean 'the faculty of thinking, of thoughts themselves, of understanding' (BAGD). GUILT AND PUNISHMENT We turn to the account in Genesis 3 of the sin of the man and the woman and now see the following effect. Currently there is the vain attempt by both husband and wife to place the blame elsewhere; the man who accuses the latter is the grace of God: “The answer.

That is God's punishment on the world and humanity in the beginning of the human race. The words “without hope and without God” are a graphic representation of the universal human condition. However, the bondage, which is most evident in the inability of the will, is rooted in all human nature.

He can only follow the way of the world, which is the way of slavery and death. The very use of the word "Adam" in connection with Christ suggests that even as. Not only do I participate in Adam's sin, but I am also inevitably involved in the sinfulness of mankind.

Covenant

INTRODUCTION

MEANING

Heppe adds: “The doctrine of God's covenant with man is thus the inmost heart and soul of all revealed truth” (ibid.). If so, is the existence of the modern state of Israel a fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham? Significantly, he does not view this return to the land as a continuing fulfillment of the Abrahamic covenant (see vv. 9-27).34.

It is not a single country, but the whole world, that is the land inheritance of the covenant with Abraham. The first declaration of the covenant with Israel took place upon Israel's arrival at Mount Sinai. One of the most memorable statements in this regard is made just before God renews the covenant.

4) We can remember the presence of God moving like a smoking pot and a burning torch among the sacrificial animals at the confirmation of the covenant with Abraham. The only obligation for the fulfillment of the new covenant is faith in Jesus Christ. It is not that the one in the new covenant receives the promised inheritance, but the promise of an inheritance.

The Incarnation

First we will discuss His divinity, Christ "Son of God", then His humanity, Christ. 9 This statement does not speak directly of Jesus as the "Son of God"; however, in the context of John's Gospel, it definitely points in that direction. This can be done by emphasizing, in turn, three words in the title "Son of God."

04 Remember again Mark 1: I - "The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God." Jesus' self-designation The expression "Son of man"124 appears frequently in the four Gospels as a reference of Jesus to himself. The person of Jesus seems to merge with the nomenclature of "Son of Man."

Often in the Gospels, Jesus' language about "the Son of Man" carries with it this undertone of mystery. We can conclude this section on Jesus' self-designation by emphasizing the expression "the Son of man." So, by the operation of the Holy Spirit is not only the Son of God.

The Atonement

The way God brought about the reconciliation of the world was through the death of Jesus Christ. Christ's death is the main focus of the gospel, the good news of salvation. But it was in His death on the cross that He became fully identified with all the sin of the human race.

In the death of Christ there is also the extinguishing of the guilt of sin and the payment of the penalty. According to 1 John, "the reason why the Son of God appeared was to destroy*9 the works of the devil" (3:8). Therefore, we can speak of the death of Jesus - the shedding of His blood - as the cost of God's forgiveness.

Twentieth-century theologians in the Reformed tradition have often spoken of the Atonement in terms of satisfaction. Abelard's view was, in fact, a reaction against the theory of the Atonement as a ransom to Satan, as well as against the theory of satisfaction to the honor of God. Of course, as noted, Abelard wrote directly in response to Anselm's view of the Atonement as satisfaction for the honor of God.

The Exaltation of Christ

SESSION

To use the language of the Apostles' Creed, “He sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.” The previous statement in the Creed: “He ascended into heaven.” Therefore the session of Christ is of great importance in our contemplation, for it concerns the present place and sphere of the exalted Lord. Next we come to a brief explanation of the form or manner of the session of Christ.

It refers not only to his original enthronement, but also to his present activity.56 Many scriptures speak of Christ as "at the right hand of God" without direct reference to sitting.57 Thus, whether standing or not referring to his activity, Christ continues "sits" in heaven. 56 "Whatever prosperity or defeat happens in our space, whatever may come and go, there is one constant, one thing that remains and continues, this His sitting at the right hand of the Father" (Barth, Dogmarics and Ourline, 126 ). The Bible has already been quoted that Christ is not only "at the right hand of God," but also "at the right hand of the throne of God."

In the Book of Revelation where both the throne of Christ and the throne of the Father are mentioned, it is significant that they are actually identified as the same throne. However, in Revelation 5:6, which refers to the Lamb (Christ), the text can be read as: in the middle of the throne61. 61Earlier, after the RSV, I quoted this phrase as “between the throne.” That is also possible, and when translated this way a distinction is made between the throne of God and that of the Lamb (in accordance with Christ sitting at the right hand of God).
