Of course, outdoor activities is such a great way for developing a children, however, the idea of having children playing some computer games could be also beneficial as well. As to be said, I personally agree with outdoor activities is giving much more positive impact, but it is not always the most effective way to do so.
First thing to address is the benefit that each of the method offers, for outdoor activites, it would be great way for the children to playing outside far from any gadgets so that they can learn to socialize with others, their neighborhood environtment, and that kind of thing is great for developing their Emotional Quotion since they are interacting directly to the main source of the knowledge. And it is good for their body health as well, because of when they are playing outside, they are interacting directly with the Mother Nature and keep spending their energy for a large scale for moving the body parts, it could help them to train their ability, agility, strength and flexibility as well. This also having a big parts for maintaining health.
On the other hand, playing some games on computer could be considered as an alternative way for developing some of the children’s skill too. The skill that could be developed is obviously depends on what the game of choice that the children decide to tag along. But in general, playing games on electronic devices such as computers not only practice in mobility context, but much more taking the interest of the children as well since the games that available is much more easy to find. And if the children is choosing the right one and is being supervised by their parent. It’s easy to say that they can developing their skills pretty much anywhere and anytime.
So for me, both is beneficial in their very own way. Because both of them has some drawbacks too, for example; outdoor activies could not be done if the weather is not really supporting for the activites, and it’s relying on motoric and muscle capability rather than brain-consuming activity like if the children are playing video games, since some of the games required a certain strategy to get pass through the story for ‘the fun part’, but the negative point for this is their eyes is more likely to get attacked by the radiation that the computer screen had if their screen time is not limited enough.
