Abstract

This final project aims to determine the implementation of the marine survey process by PT Jembatan Nusantara before the ship conducts docking. The method used in this research is data collection by observation and interview, and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed Carrying out the marine survey process by PT Jembatan Nusantara before the ship carried out docking consisting of several stages, namely: briefing for the type of survey agreement, deck inspection, engine room inspection bow inspection, stern inspection, safety equipment inspection, navigation certificate inspection, survey document evidence collection, report document preparation. Handling of obstacles when implementing the marine survey process is as follows: Handling of obstacles encountered in the field includes: Delay in ship arrival. Changing weather conditions. Different communication languages. Handling the obstacles encountered in the office, namely: The company needs to improve the existing network system in the company in order to facilitate communication between the ship owner and the surveyor. The ship owner must complete the required documents before the surveyor goes down to the field. The ship owner must really ensure the ship's arrival schedule. Next researchers are expected to conduct interviews with competent sources in the study of marine survey infrastructure.
