The 29th meeting of the Academic Council, Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya was held on 07.01.2016 at Adi Sankara Auditorium, I Floor, Central Library.
The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor chaired the meeting.

29AC-6.1 To place the recommendations of the Board of Studies for the Department of Physical Education.

Department of Physical Education
After discussion it was decided to restructure the curriculum and syllabus as per the frame work of the University incorporating all required credits including open electives and prescribed text books.
29AC-6.2 To place the proposal to consider financial support / stipend to Full Time Ph.D. Scholars in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering / Chemistry and Mathematics.
29 AC-7 ANY OTHER ITEM PERMITTED BY THE CHAIRMAN a) The Chairman informed the proposal of the University
The members noted the same.
b) The Chairman informed to the Council on joining of duty by Dr.S.Balaji, Professor, Department of Chemistry who was granted Sabbatical leave from 15.11.2014 to 19.11.2015 to pursue his research work under Brain Pool Scientist Programme at Sunchon National University, Korea. On completion of sabbatical leave Prof.Dr.S.Balaji reported duty on 20.11.2015.
The Chairman asked Dr.S.Balaji to brief about his research work and project to the council, accordingly Dr.S.Balaji briefed about his visit to Brain Pool Scientist to the members.
The Council noted and congratulated Dr.S.Balaji and he acknowledged the support extended by the Viswa Mahavidyalaya to complete the research work.
There being no other matter, the Chairman thanked all members for their active participation in the discussion and valuable suggestions and closed the 29th meeting of the Academic Council
