I am to state that the General Body of this council at ^1ts meeting held on 26-27 /03 /2015 considered the Council assessor report (07.06.2014) on the stanclard of examinalion and other teaching facilities available at A. _J. Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore

for

purpose of Recognition of MD(DVL) qualification against increased intake frorn 01 to 02 seats granted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

The Council approved the followitrg recommendations of the Postgraduate Comn-rittee, which I am directed to convey herewith for your information and necessary acfion:-

decided to recomrnend that MD(DVL) qualificalion against increased intake from 01 to 02 seats granted by RaJiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in respect of students being kained at A. _J. Institute of Medical ^Sciences, Mangalore be recognized and rncluded in the 1st Schedule to tlre I.M.C. Act,1'956.

The Postgraduate Corrunittee further decided that the recognition so granted shall be for

a maximum period of 5 years from the date of notification upon whrch the institute shall have to apply for renewal of recognition. Failure to seek timely renewal of recognition as

required shall invariably result in stoppage of admission to the postgraduate course."

A copy of assessment report is enclosed herewith.
