Session 2015-2016
● Department of Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering organized an expert lecture on
“Role of Biosensor-Immunosensor early disease diagnosis” delivered by Dr. Satyendra Kumar, IIT Kanpur on December 05, 2015 at Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Rama University, Mandhana, Kanpur.
● The Department of Biotechnology, Rama University hasorganized an R& D institutional visit for M.Sc. 2nd Year, B.Tech. 2nd Year and B.Sc. 2nd Year students at “CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow (CSIR-CDRI)” on 20th November 2015.
● Department of Biotechnology, Rama University has organized a workshop on HPLC on 13th February 2016 in collaboration with Central Research Laboratory, Rama University.
Dr. Prashant Shukla Scientist Aurigene Drug Discovery was the Guest Lecturer and Technical Expert for Scientific discussion.
Session2016-2017
● An Industrial visit was carried out by the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Rama University, Kanpur at Namaste India Foods Pvt. Ltd, Kanpur on 25th March, 2017 for B. Tech. Biotechnology (IV Sem.), B. Tech.
Biotechnology (VI Sem.), B.Sc. Biotechnology (IV Sem.) and M.Sc. Biotechnology (II Sem.).
Session2017-2018
● Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Rama University, Mandhana Kanpur organized an Industrial Visit to IIPR – Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur for their students of B.Tech Biotechnology/B.Sc Biotechnology/ M.Sc Biotechnology on 10th October 2017.
● An Industrial visit was carried out by the Department of Biotechnology, FET, Rama University, Kanpur at National Sugar Institute, Kanpur on 12th March, 2018 for B. Tech.
Biotechnology (III Sem.), B.Tech. Biotechnology (II Sem), B.Sc. Biotechnology (VI Sem.) and M.Sc. Biotechnology (I Sem.).
Session 2018-2019
● Department of Biotechnology organized a research institutional visit for B.Tech 4th yr. and B.Tech. 3rd yr. students to “Indian Institute of Pulses Research (IIPR)” Kanpur on 24th October 2018.
● Department of Biotechnology has organized a workshop on the topic of “Basic Techniques in Molecular Techniques in Bio-sciences” on 17th -18 April, 2018. Students also learnt
about HPLC, DNA isolation and PCR with hands on practice at Central Research Laboratory, Rama Medical College, Kanpur.
Session 2019-2020
● Scientific and Industrial Research visit was carried out by the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Rama University, Kanpur at Central Institute for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIR-CIMAP) Lucknow on 3rd May, 2019 for B.TechIVth , B.TechIIIrd year, B.Sc I & II year and M.Sc Biotechnology I and II year were visited to CIMAP for their research and development program.
● An Industrial expert lecture was organized by the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Faculty of Science, Rama University, Kanpur on
“Biotechnology in Biomedical Research: Ethics and Regulations” on 6th April 2019. Dr.
Virendra Tiwari, Assistant Director-Business Development GLP Services, Dabur Research Foundation, Ghaziabad was the speaker
● The Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Engineering & Technology/ Faculty of Sciences, RAMA University, Kanpur has organized a lecture on “Polymeric Microneedle for Transdermal Drug Delivery System” by Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Ashfaq, University of La Serena, Chile, South America on 6th September, 2019 in Seminar Hall, FET at 9:30 AM.
● The Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Engineering & Technology/ Faculty of Sciences, RAMA University, Kanpur has organized a lecture on “Process Development &
Validation of Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing” by, Er. Vishal Srivastava, Principal Scientist, Lonza Biologics Plc. London United Kingdom on 23rd September, 2019 on online platform at 9:30 AM.
● The Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Engineering & Technology/ Faculty of Sciences, RAMA University, Kanpur has organized a lecture on “Biotechnological Interventions in Agricultural Research: "Molecular Markers and its role in crop breeding”
