Course Structure

The Diploma in ICT in Education course will be oﬀered to teachers through blended mode with 3 Inductions and 20 Refreshers. For students, it is a general ICT course for class VI-VIII spaning across 3 years whereas for class IX-XII

it is speciﬁc vocational courses.

Pedagogy

Each lesson of the course involves a teacher led session followed by hands on sessions ensuring learners' participation.

Evaluation

Record of achievements through e-portfolio and summative assesments.

The Diploma course on ICT in Education for teachers would be awarded by the NCERT. The State Board of School Education may evolve a mechanism to certify the students on completion of the course.

A Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) Platform SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active–Learning

for Young Aspiring Minds)

SWAYAM is an initiative by Government of India to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality. The objective of this effort is to take the best teaching learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged.

SWAYAM seeks to bridge the digital divide for students who have hitherto remained untouched by the digital revolution and have not been able to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy.
