Dear Friends,

A very Happy New Year to you! My warmest wishes also to you and your loved ones for a prosperous 2023.

Thank you for the continued love and support you have always shown PwC - we are truly grateful. At our end, we continue to explore new ways of connecting with you, hear your thoughts and get your feedback and inputs, so we can make our association meaningful.

Today, I wanted to share some recent updates from around the firm - it has been an eventful quarter for us. I just returned from a visit toDavoswhere I had the opportunity to witness what a gathering of minds means - the scale, depth and quality of the discussions have been thought-provoking in so many ways. All of us were aligned – on the need to create a global community committed to working together to solve tomorrow's challenges today. We also partnered withInvest Indiafor the sixth time in a row to host the roundtable on "India’s growth story: Riding a wave” and had the privilege to join hands with the

Government of Tamil Nadu to conduct a discussion on the future of advanced manufacturing and its role in delivering sustainable growth.

Sanjeev Krishan Chairperson, PwC in India

Happy to share that once again, we launched theGlobal Annual CEO Surveyat Davos, our 26th year in a row with insights from CEOs across the globe, including 68 from India. Heartening to see that in spite of the signs of a global economic slowdown, continuing high inflation and the ripple effects of the war in Europe, theoutlook for India’s growth has largely been positive.India CEOs are braving macroeconomic headwinds, geopolitical and climate change threats and reinventing their business models to stay economically viable in the long run. This time, the survey covers macro themes such as race for the future, today’s tensions and a balanced agenda, making for a very insightful read for leaders looking at tomorrow’s agenda, today.

Earlier in December, our Global Chairman Bob Moritz was down in Mumbai for an exclusiveCEO Roundtable - Reimagining Maharashtra, chaired by the Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and attended by India’s eminent CEOs across industries. The platform enabled an open conversation between the Government and this diverse group of India Inc. leaders on strategies to promote new investments in the state of Maharashtra. Our conversations focused on unlocking the state’s true potential through sustained investments in infrastructure, job creation and skilling.

As we look forward to 2023, we remain inspired to be a beacon in our profession – one that’s known for its high quality, value, trust services and dedication. As we begin a new year filled with new beginnings, do stay connected with us –

#YourNetworkForLife.

Best regards, Sanjeev Krishan

PwC India’s road to Net Zero

In 2020, we joined PwC network firms in committing to achieve net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030. Our journey began with a

three-pronged approach: reducing direct emissions from sources owned by the firm, reducing indirect emissions from the production of purchased heat and electricity, and reducing all other indirect emissions by ensuring sustainable travel, and making sure that at least 50% of our key suppliers set up science based targets to reduce their own climate impact by FY25. Our people too have joined our efforts wholeheartedly by contributing in their own ways. We invited them to share stories of the #ConsciousChoices they’re making in their daily lives and they shared inspiring accounts of multiple innovative actions they’re taking in the areas of energy consumption, waste generation, responsible travel and commute.
